I felt numb. All over my body. I mean the book was great. I tend to have different reactions to different books (like any other normal human being) and I had my jaw dropped every single chapter. The amount of surprises for the book was very creative on Derek's part. And then that ending. Life just felt so.... pointless I guess. I stayed in bed for two hours and debated my life choices.
Although, I'm taking what we have. The ending wasn't that bad. We've seen worse. Nevertheless, I did wish so many haven't died or that we read about some other characters.

Exactly, me too! I was ready to sacrifice Valkyrie for him. Hell, I would have done it myself if I could. He's just that person that I would die for.
The relief I felt when I found out he was alive... gosh, I don't know why I ever doubted him.

@Alexxy yeah the ending was very nihilistic since what they were trying to save went mostly into destruction, however that's how the world works. It is always an equivalent exchange. Personally I love those type of endings unless they destroy the entire purpose of the existence of their own starting.
