Countdown Widget Help

First I downloaded the cover I wanted to use to www.photobucket.com (a free online picture storing site) so I could copy the html for the cover into the gadget. Then I went to www.freecountdown.net and created a very generic looking countdown ticker. I staggered the cover html over the countdown html, played with the sizes to get them to fit and viola! I had my own free countdown widget. It may not be as fancy as some of the others, but it's free.
Hopefully that all makes sense and your familiar with how photobucket works. If anyone knows of a better free way I'd love to hear it.

I've used it on my blog (http://www.elleliterate.com) if you want to have a look, but it's pretty good so I recommend it.
:D

Wordpress.com users generally build on wordpress.com knowing that they will eventually transfer over to a wordpress.org site. That is the key difference in DOTcom and DOTorg. DOTorg is a platform in which you build your website from the ground up, which building wise looks and feels very much like DOTcom but the possibilities are endless, but you have to find a hosting service (aka self host). DOTcom is a free service so what a person can do there is greatly reduced, including eliminating javascript, thus no countdown widget for a wordpress.com site.
Hope that helps.
I appreciate it!
