I've got the book queued up on the shelf and ready to go. I read it probably nine or so years ago and just remember it was good, so I'm looking forward to another read!
Read it a couple of years ago - covers the familiar Dick territory of working-stiff, synthetic people and the dark-haired girl. But in a good way - I enjoyed it.See post 5, below...
I'm looking forward to reading this again. I read it a few years ago; I tend to confuse it with We Can Build You, so hopefully I'll read it in more detail this time around.
That's really funny, because it's exactly what I've done - confused it with We Can Build You!Actually, I haven't read The Simulacra - at least not in this reality. I'll try to get a copy in time to being the Group Read.
I've just taken it out of my bookshelves to read. Looking forward to discuss it here.Unfortunately, I won't be able to discuss issues concerning the language of the book since I have a translated version (maybe even a bad one).
I was looking in my Sutin biography, and found out that Dick's short story Novelty Act from 1964 was reworked for the novel. Is anybody else interested in reading it either before or after we read The Simulacra?

The Collected Stories, Vol. 4: The Minority Report
Simulacra sounds familiar, let's see if I've read it already... yup, I've read it. Gave it 4/5 on GR but not 'review'd. Might be worth a re-read. Cheers.
I'm going to read The Novelty Act after I read The Simulacra. I've found I'd rather read the shorter work last from past experiences

I havent read this before and i cant wait. I ordered an interlibrary loan just today. I should get it less than a week.
Since im poor student this term, i also ordered an interlibrary loan of Clans of the Alpha Moon. Im not used to reading library copies of PKD. Im such a fanboy of his that i usually only get his books in new prints.
