The author did took me on a ride of pure joy that turned into, "I can't wait to read the 3rd in the series".

Because the next book is a severe let down.
City of Fallen Angels isn't the best of the bunch but the rest are brill! Unfortunately the sixth book isn't out until 2014 BUT try the Infernal Devices, Clockwork Angel and Clock work Prince, once you've finshed this, it's even better in my opinion and the third one, Clockwork Princess, is due to come out in 2013!
book 2 really made me think a lot more about who the characters really were and what's going on in the back story so i think that it was a good follow up to the first. i didn't LOVE book 1 so this was great to keep me interested.
city of lost souls was kind of boring but mortal instraments is still my all time fav series :)
I loved the ending of this book too! I didnt like the ending of the first book, but I think the ending of City of Ashes made up for it! My favorite of all of them is City of Glass!
