I clicked on "add a new addition" to this book
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/60...
And I filled out the form, but when it was finished I found it had created an entirely new book.

Also if you could tell me what I did wrong I could avoid doing it again! Thanks.

Yes, the link text is misleading- the editions always have to be combined after the fact. Do you have the rest of the info for the edition you created? Most importantly, the ISBN?

I tried to enter the ISBN but it told me it already existed and pointed me to a different edition.

Which edition was that? I'm confused, if your ISBN was already in the system, why did you add a new one?

To clarify, what is the ISBN that was already in use?
Did your copy have a different cover than the one that was on the ISBN you listed?
