5.8 - Festival of Lights
In India, Diwali is celebrated during fall. Diwali is called the festival of lights. Read a book with any form of fire on the cover. REQUIRED: You must include the cover in your post.

If you'd like to learn more about Diwali, here's a link to the wikipedia entry - Diwali.

They all have fire in the background, so they're okay.

Despite the title, doesn't seem to have fire on the cover, so it won't work.

On my monitor, the background doesn't look like flames or fire. If it's different in real life and it shows flames, then say that when you post.

it will work. My mom used to scold us for not being careful enough playing with fire when we were being (of course) careless with sparklers - can't argue with mom!

message 35: by Riona (new)

Riona (rionafaith) What about Fire Watch by Connie Willis ? It looks like the woman's hand is on fire over on the right.

Also, this may be a long shot, but what about slightly abstract drawings of fire? I'm thinking of The Burn Journals by Brent Runyon .

message 36: by Kate (new)

Kate (kathrynlouwca) | 1002 comments Here is one I found while browsing the library:
Monsters of Men (Chaos Walking, #3) by Patrick Ness

It is third in a series, but the series has gotten really good reviews so it might be worth it to try to squeeze in all three books. I know I am going to try.

[bookcover:Fire Watch|24986] works.

Not The Burn Journals by Brent Runyon - I want to stick with actual flames, not more abstract representations.
