question
did anybody else catch the twilight reference?

it was somth like "all lambs ever did was fall into ill advised relationships with lion" did anyone else catch that or was my twilight obsessed brain playing tricks on me?

I'm with Natalie on this one. Twilight never crossed my mind. The parable of the Lion and Lamb dates back to biblical times.
The more modern comparison of predator and prey,made in fiction of all sorts,is the image of a wolf and whatever soft prey happens to be about, usually a stupid young girl. Little Red Riding Hood....
Of course, Meyer couldn't use that cliche in Twilight because the wolves were good guys in her books.

Well, actually this metaphor/comparison has been around for a while. It might have been used in Twilight but it's not solely a Twilight reference.
Well I haven't read this book but it DOES sound awfully familiar.......
Yeah, I read it and I thought about twilight too when that quote came up. But I only read twilight twice...so I don't think your mind is playing tricks on you!!

It's not a Twilight reference. It is a similar reference that Twilight used as well (Biblical origins).
