Have you posted your list minus #8 Amber? I'm still looking for #8 as well!

message 152: by Amber (new)

Amber (ukaunz) Yes Brenda, it's above at message #153 :-) I've been tagging my 11 books with "spring-challenge" so I can easily find them on my shelves.

I know there is a thread with Up and Coming Releases, but do you know if there is anywhere I can find a list of just Australian author up and coming books?

That is something we don't have Amber...we have the http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9... but not Aussie New Releases....I'll make a new one for that...great idea Amber:) Thanks:)

Amber, don't forget the list you did in the new release section as well, on Aug 16th:)

message 155: by Amber (new)

Amber (ukaunz) Yes thanks for remembering. I didn't make a note of which ones were by Aussie authors :-D It will be great to see what you can compile Brenda!

Here's a link also to our AWW12 challenge group, and the bookshelf has (I think) all Aussie authors. I clicked on the first book, and it's a new release, so you (and I) might find a lot there:)

Christy (mrscrich) | 220 comments Ooooohhh!! Thanks Brenda! I've been looking for a New Release too!
I have decided on my YA book, although it's not a 2012 release. I've chosen On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta after seeing some of her other books listed in this challenge. So thanks for the help and info on a new writer to me! Can't wait to get started and reducing my TBR list. For some reason not only do these challenges help me reduce my TBR list, but somehow it also keeps getting bigger at the same time! :)

Great! I'm so glad someone in the group will be reading this book. I liked Jasper Jones but not sure whether this book will be to my liking.

@Trina & Rena, can you let me know what you think of it?

Trina (trina88) Definitely Mish. I haven't read Jasper Jones, I borrowed it off someone for a while but never read it, and eventually gave it back.

message 170: by Mish (new)

1. Red
Choke Hold (Hard Case Crime, #104) by Christa Faust
Choke Hold
The continuing hardboiled adventures of Angel Dare by the inimitable Christa Faust
2. Orange
The Wedding Group by Elizabeth Taylor
The Wedding Group

It's the centenary of Elizabeth Taylor Not-The-Actress, so what better than to savour one of her novels?
3. Yellow
Less Than Angels by Barbara Pym
Less Than Angels

Can't go wrong with Barbara Pym!
4. Green
Intruder in the Dust by William Faulkner
Intruder in the Dust

Gettin' my Faulkner on
5. Blue
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
Catch-22

I'm tired of pretending to join in when people laugh amongst themselves about Catch-22.
6. Purple/Violet
When the Heart Waits Spiritual Direction for Life's Sacred Questions by Sue Monk Kidd
When the Heart Waits: Spiritual Direction for Life's Sacred Questions
I love her fiction (a non-judgemental, contemplative Christian feminist from the US South without the Dan Brown BS? Bring it on!) so I'm having a go at her non-fiction.

7. Spring clean your TBR shelf by choosing a book from here..something you've wanted to read for awhile, and just haven't got around to!
An American Tragedy by Theodore Dreiser
An American Tragedy

I have been reading this since the Christmas holidays 2003 spent at Byron. It's time to make sure it is not 10 years in the reading.

9. Choose a book with the title or cover relating to Spring e.g new life, new growth, warmth, joy, happiness....
