The source of all corruption and sin, all demons and vampires and unholy beings. Once ruled the blank earth with an iron fist. When Light was shed for the first time, their army of Pre-Demonic beings were vanquished to the Wasteland, the realm of "dead" demons, angels and ghosts. They was reduced to the black mist that ate up magic and powers for energy, possessed Asmodeus, the first demon, making him the King of Hell and King of Demons, many miss use the term to describe him, it was the source that dwelled in him that was the King. The Vigil ended his rein of terror, by ripping them out of his current host, a sorry human, who was reduced to ash, and casted the Old Ones into a golden casket, only to be opened by a "keys soul", a special type of human soul. ~The Unholy 5~
~Lucifer & his 4 wives~

*Lilith was a female demon of the night who supposedly flies around searching for newborn children either to kidnap or strangle them. Also, she sleeps with men to seduce them into propagating demon sons. Legends told about Lilith are ancient. The rabbinical myths of Lilith being Adam's first wife seem to relate to the Sumero-Babylonian Goddess Belit-ili, or Belili. To the Canaanites, Lilith was Baalat, the "Divine Lady." On a tablet from Ur, ca. 2000 BCE, she was addressed as Lillake.

One story is that God created Adam and Lilith as twins joined together at the back. She demanded equality with Adam, failing to achieve it, she left him in anger. This is sometimes accompanied by a Muslim legend that after leaving Adam Lilith slept with Satan, thus creating the demonic Djinn.

In another version of the myth of Lilith, she was Adam's first wife before Eve. Adam married her because he became tired of coupling with animals, a common Middle-Eastern herdsmen practice, though the Old Testament declared it a sin (Deuteronomy 27:21). Adam tried to make Lilith lie beneath him during sexual intercourse. Lilith would not meet this demand of male dominance. She cursed Adam and hurried to her home by the Red Sea.

Adam complained to God who then sent three angels, Sanvi, Sansanvi and Semangelaf, to bring Lilith back to Eden. Lilith rebuffed the angels by cursing them. While by the Red Sea Lilith became a lover to demons and producing 100 babies a day. The angels said that God would take these demon children away from her unless she returned to Adam. When she did not return, she was punished accordingly. And, God also gave Adam the docile Eve.

Lilith's fecundity and sexual preferences showed she was a Great Mother of settled agricultural tribes, who resisted the invasions of the nomadic herdsmen, represented by Adam. It is felt the early Hebrews disliked the Great Mother who drank the blood of Abel, the herdsman, after being slain by the elder god of agriculture and smithcraft, Cain (Genesis 4:11). Lilith's Red Sea is but another version of Kali Ma's Ocean of Blood, which gave birth to all things but needed periodic sacrificial replenishment.

In Zoharistic cabala, Samael was also mated with Eisheth Zenunim, Na'amah, and Agrat Bat Mahlat — all angels of prostitution. Lilith is related in the medieval lore as the counterpart of Samael, as the queen of hell.

According to legend Lilith's attraction for children comes from the belief that God took her demon children from her when she did not return to Adam. It was believed that she launched a reign of terror against women in childbirth and newborn infants, especially boys. However, it also was believed that the three angels who were sent to fetch her by the Red Sea forced her to swear that whenever she saw their names or images on amulets that she would leave the infants and mothers alone.

These beliefs continued for centuries. As late as the 18th century, it was a common practice in many cultures to protect new mothers and their infants with amulets against Lilith. Males were most vulnerable during the first week of life, girls during the first three weeks. Sometimes a magic circle was drawn around the lying-in-bed, with a charm inscribed with the names of the three angels, Adam and Eve and the words "barring Lilith" or "protect this newborn child from all harm." Frequently amulets were place in the four corners and throughout the bedchamber. If a child laughed while sleeping, it was taken as a sign that Lilith was present. Tapping the child on the nose, it was believed, made her go away.

*Eisheth Zenunim, Isheth Zenunim or just Eisheth, is one of the four queens of hell and second wife of the demon Samael. She is knowed to be the angel of whoredom (This entity is also part of the trinity infernal beast with the Goat and Samael.), mother of the prostitution ("the prostitute or woman of all and any") and mother of the Goat. As Her fellow succubi (Lilith,Agrat Bat Mahlat and Naamah), she is part of of the group knowed as "angels of prostitution" in Zoharistic texts.

It´s suposed to be the youngest of Samael wifes (Eve and Lilith, created directly by God and Agrat Bat Mahlat, was originated from the side of them, acording to the Sepher ha-Zohar) and the ruler of the southern quarter (Egypt), the southern quarter is controversial, since it is assigned to a country instead of to a city, like the other quarters, (Salamanca, Rome and Damascus), the name of the ruler is unclear, identified as Mahalat or Rahab instead of Eisheth as the true ruler. Is a seductive devil and is in a eternal journey for the fall of the man into the sins of the flesh. She feeds on the souls of the fallen.

*In Zoharistic Qabalah, Agrat Bat Mahlat is one of the four angels of prostitution, who mates with Samael. Her fellow succubi are Lilith, Naamah, and Eisheth Zenunim. Considering Mahlat and Agrat as proper names and bat as "daughter of" (Hebrew), Agrat bat Mahlat means 'Agrat daughter of Mahlat'. Sometimes Agrat is used alone, or with variations (Agrath, Igrat, Iggeret). Iggeret means in Hebrew 'letter or missive' while 'agrah' means 'reward'. Mahathallah, probably the correct spelling of Mahlat means in Hebrew 'deception' or 'illusion'. Therefore, Agrat bat Mahlat could be translated as Agrat 'daughter of illusions', 'bringer of deception' or 'reward for deception'

These four angels are also known as the Queens of Hell or the spouses of Satan, and some authors as Donald Tyson refer to them as manifestations of Lilith. Agrat Bat Mahlat rules Salamanca (western quarter), The southern quarter is controversial, since it is assigned to a country (Egypt) instead of to a city, and the name of the ruler is unclear, usually identified as Mahalat (the mother of Agrat?) or Rahab instead of Eisheth.

It is generally believed that the best and possibly only way to prevent attack by or to banish a Succubus is through the art of prayer, particularly through the use of the ‘Saint Michael’s prayer’.

*Naamah or Na'amah (Hebrew: נעמה, meaning pleasant) is a figure in Jewish mysticism. She is a succubus and fallen angel, and is generally regarded as an aspect or relation of Lilith. Naamah is said to have engaged, like Lilith, in intercourse with Adam. According to tradition, was created directly by God, as Eve or Lilith. Naamah and Lilith lived in the Red Sea coast where they were expelled by God. Naamah appearance is similar to Lilith, but Lilith being more sensual, young and beautiful and as one that corrupted the fallen angels and their leader Semyaza. The mythology attributes the power of being guilty of causing the epilepsy to children.

Naamah appears in the Zohar as one of the four angels of prostitution, the mates of the demon Samael, the mother of the demon Asmodai and one of the Queens of hell, she rule over the eastern quarter (Damascus). Her fellow succubi are Lilith, Eisheth Zenunim, and Agrat Bat Mahlat. She is generally identified with the daughter of Lamech. This Naamah is a counterpart to the one who appears in Genesis, and she is regarded, like her mortal counterpart, as a patron of divination and music.

In Gnostic Kabbalah, she is called Nahemah and is the qliphah corresponding to the sephirah Malkuth. The meaning of her name is argued among Hebrew scholars; it refers either to her virtuous nature ("pleasing" to God (YHVH)) or to a penchant for idolatry (singing "pleasant" songs to pagan idols). She is regarded as the inventor of divination.

The name Naamah must not to be confused with Lamech's daughter Naamah, sister of Tubal Cain, a descendant of Cain.(Genesis 4:22) She may or may not also be the wife of Noah or his son Ham.

*"How art thou fallen from heaven
O day-star, son of the morning! (Helel ben Shahar)
How art thou cast down to the ground,
That didst cast lots over the nations!
And thou saidst in thy heart:
'I will ascend into heaven,
Above the stars of God (El)
Will I exalt my throne;
And I will sit upon the mount of meeting,
In the uttermost parts of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will be like the Most High (Elyon).'
Yet thou shalt be brought dow to the nether-world,
To the uttermost parts of the pit."

- Isaiah 14:12-15

Lucifer is a Latin word, literally meaning "light-bearer", that was used as a name for the "day star" or "Morning Star" that precedes the rising of the sun. Venus, the morning star.

A odd fact: Venus is all covered by a solid layer of molten rock, maybe expelled by several volcano eruptions in a old time, on the whole planet surface, as a sea of lava. Like an old real Hell.

Air
Fire
Water
Earth

These are the basic elements that, together, form the Prima Materia, or First Matter, that is used to re-create the Philospher's Stone

Nether
Aether
Spirit

These are the Grand Elements. Just a Air, Fire, Water and Earth play into our daily lives, so do these. The Aether is light, the truth, the good, just side, the Nether is Darkness, sin, lies, and the evil path. Spirit, as for it is where magick comes from, is the hint of, well, magic we overlook every day, and the miracles, both big and small.

Enlil was the god of air in ancient Sumer. Shu was the ancient Egyptian god of air and the husband of Tefnut, goddess of moisture. He became an emblem of strength by virtue of his role in separating Nut from Geb. He played a primary role in the Coffin Texts, which were spells intended to help the deceased reach the realm of the afterlife safely. On the way to the sky, the spirit had to travel through the air as one spell indicates: "I have gone up in Shu, I have climbed on the sunbeams."

In East Asia, air is seen as the equivalent of wood. Air is represented in the Aztec religion by a snake to the Scythians, a yoke to the Hindus and for Greeks as a sword and in Christian iconography as mankind.

Air
Air is often seen as a universal power or pure substance. Its supposed fundamental importance to life can be seen in words such as aspire, inspire, perspire and spirit, all derived from the Latin spirare.

Air is one of the four classical elements in ancient Greek philosophy and science. According to Plato, it is associated with the octahedron; air is considered to be both hot and wet. The ancient Greeks used two words for air: aer meant the dim lower atmosphere, and aether meant the bright upper atmosphere above the clouds.[1] Plato, for instance writes that "So it is with air: there is the brightest variety which we call aether, the muddiest which we call mist and darkness, and other kinds for which we have no name...."[2] Among the early Greek Pre-Socratic philosophers, Anaximenes (mid-6th century BCE) named air as the arche.[3] A similar belief was attributed by some ancient sources to Diogenes Apolloniates (late 5th century BCE), who also linked air with intelligence and soul (psyche), but other sources claim that his arche was a substance between air and fire.[4] Aristophanes parodied such teachings in his play The Clouds by putting a prayer to air in the mouth of Socrates.

Air was one of many archai proposed by the Pre-socratics, most of whom tried to reduce all things to a single substance. However, Empedocles of Acragas (c. 495-c. 435 BCE) selected four archai for his four roots: Air, fire, water, and earth. Ancient and modern opinions differ as to whether he identified air by the divine name Hera, Aidoneus or even Zeus. Empedocles’ roots became the four classical elements of Greek philosophy. Plato (427-347 BCE) took over the four elements of Empedocles. In the Timaeus, his major cosmological dialogue, the Platonic solid associated with air is the octahedron which is formed from eight equilateral triangles. This places air between fire and water which Plato regarded as appropriate because it is intermediate in its mobility, sharpness, and ability to penetrate. He also said of air that its minuscule components are so smooth that one can barely feel them.

Plato's student Aristotle (384-322 BCE) developed a different explanation for the elements based on pairs of qualities. The four elements were arranged concentrically around the center of the universe to form the sublunary sphere. According to Aristotle, air is both hot and wet and occupies a place between fire and water among the elemental spheres. Aristotle definitively separated air from aether. For him, aether was an unchanging, almost divine substance that was found only in the heavens, where it formed celestial spheres.

In ancient Greek medicine, each of the four humours became associated with an element. Blood was the humor identified with air, since both were hot and wet. Other things associated with air and blood in ancient and medieval medicine included the season of spring, since it increased the qualities of heat and moisture; the sanguine temperament (of a person dominated by the blood humour); hermaphrodite (combining the masculine quality of heat with the feminine quality of moisture); and the northern point of the compass.

The alchemical symbol for air is an upward-pointing triangle, bisected by a horizontal line.

Fire
Fire is one of the four classical elements in ancient Greek philosophy and science. It was commonly associated with the qualities of energy, assertiveness, and passion. In one Greek myth, Prometheus stole fire from the gods to protect the otherwise helpless humans, but was punished for this charity.

Fire was one of many archai proposed by the Pre-socratics, most of whom sought to reduce the cosmos, or its creation, by a single substance. Heraclitus (c. 535 BCE – c. 475 BCE) considered fire to be the most fundamental of all elements. He believed fire gave rise to the other three elements: "All things are an interchange for fire, and fire for all things, just like goods for gold and gold for goods." He had a reputation for obscure philosophical principles and for speaking in riddles. He described how fire gave rise to the other elements as the: "upward-downward path", (ὁδὸς ἄνω κάτω), a "hidden harmony"  or series of transformations he called the "turnings of fire", (πυρὸς τροπαὶ), first into sea, and half that sea into earth, and half that earth into rarefied air. A concept that anticipates both the four classical elements of Empedocles and Aristotle's transmutation of the four elements into one another.

This world, which is the same for all, no one of gods or men has made. But it always was and will be: an ever-living fire, with measures of it kindling, and measures going out.

Heraclitus regarded the soul as being a mixture of fire and water, with fire being is the more noble part and water the ignoble aspect. He believed the goal of the soul is to be rid of water and become pure fire: the dry soul is the best and it is worldly pleasures make the soul "moist". He was known as the "weeping philosopher" and died of hydropsy, a swelling due to abnormal accumulation of fluid beneath the skin.

However, Empedocles of Acragas (c. 495 - c. 435 BCE), is best known for having selected all elements as his archai and by the time of Plato (427 - 347 BCE), the four Empedoclian elements of were well established. In the Timaeus, Plato's major cosmological dialogue, the Platonic solid he associated with fire was the tetrahedron which is formed from four triangles and contains the least volume with the greatest surface area. This also makes fire the element with the smallest number of sides, and Plato regarded it as appropriate for the heat of fire, which he felt is sharp and stabbing, (like one of the points of a tetrahedra).

Plato’s student Aristotle (384 - 322 BCE) did not maintain his former teacher's geometric view of the elements, but rather preferred a somewhat more naturalistic explanation for the elements based on their traditional qualities. Fire the hot and dry element, like the other elements was an abstract principle and not identical with the normal solids, liquids and combustion phenomena we experience:

What we commonly call fire. It is not really fire, for fire is an excess of heat and a sort of ebullition; but in reality, of what we call air, the part surrounding the earth is moist and warm, because it contains both vapour and a dry exhalation from the earth.

According to Aristotle, the four elements rise or fall toward their natural place in concentric layers surrounding the center of the earth and form the terrestrial or sublunary spheres.

In ancient Greek medicine, each of the four humours became associated with an element. Yellow bile was the humor identified with fire, since both were hot and dry. Other things associated with fire and yellow bile in ancient and medieval medicine included the season of summer, since it increased the qualities of heat and aridity; the choleric temperament (of a person dominated by the yellow bile humour); the masculine; and the eastern point of the compass.
Alchemical symbol for fire

In alchemy the chemical element of sulfur was often associated with fire and its alchemical symbol and its symbol was an upward-pointing triangle. In alchemic tradition, metals are incubated by fire in the womb of the Earth and alchemists only accelerate their development.

Water
Water is one of the elements in ancient Greek philosophy, in the Asian Indian system Panchamahabhuta, and in the Chinese cosmological and physiological system Wu Xing. In contemporary esoteric traditions, it is commonly associated with the qualities of emotion and intuition.

Water was one of many archai proposed by the Pre-socratics, most of whom tried to reduce all things to a single substance. However, Empedocles of Acragas (c. 495-c. 435 BC) selected four archai for his four roots: air, fire, water and earth. Empedocles roots became the four classical elements of Greek philosophy. Plato (427-347 BC) took over the four elements of Empedocles. In the Timaeus, his major cosmological dialogue, the Platonic solid associated with water is the icosahedron which is formed from twenty equilateral triangles. This makes water the element with the greatest number of sides, which Plato regarded as appropriate because water flows out of one's hand when picked up, as if it is made of tiny little balls.

Plato’s student Aristotle (384-322 BC) developed a different explanation for the elements based on pairs of qualities. The four elements were arranged concentrically around the center of the Universe to form the sublunary sphere. According to Aristotle, water is both cold and wet and occupies a place between air and earth among the elemental spheres.

In ancient Greek medicine, each of the four humours became associated with an element. Phlegm was the humor identified with water, since both were cold and wet. Other things associated with water and phlegm in ancient and medieval medicine included the season of Winter, since it increased the qualities of cold and moisture; the phlegmatic temperament, the feminine, the brain and the western point of the compass.

In alchemy, the chemical element of mercury was often associated with water and its alchemical symbol was a downward-pointing triangle.

Earth
Earth is one of the four classical elements in ancient Greek philosophy and science. It was commonly associated with qualities of heaviness, matter and the terrestrial world. Due to the hero cults, and chthonic underworld deities, the elemental of earth is also associated with the sensual aspects of both life and death in later occultism.

Empedocles of Acragas (c. 495 – c. 435 BCE) proposed four archai by which to understand the cosmos: fire, air, water, and earth. Plato (427 – 347 BCE) believed the elements were geometric forms (the platonic solids) and he assigned the cube to the element of earth in his dialogue Timaeus. Aristotle, (384–322 BCE), believed earth was the heaviest element, and his theory of natural place suggested that any earth–laden substances, would fall quickly, straight down, toward the center of the cosmos.

In Classical Greek and Roman myth, various goddesses represented the Earth, seasons, crops and fertility, including Demeter and Persephone; Ceres; the Horae (goddesses of the seasons), and Proserpina; and Hades (Pluto) who ruled the souls of dead in the Underworld.

In ancient Greek medicine, each of the four humours became associated with an element. Black bile was the humor identified with earth, since both were cold and dry. Other things associated with earth and black bile in ancient and medieval medicine included the season of fall, since it increased the qualities of cold and aridity; the melancholic temperament (of a person dominated by the black bile humour); the feminine; and the southern point of the compass.

In alchemy, earth was believed to be primarily cold, and secondarily dry, (as per Aristotle). Beyond those classical attributes, the chemical substance salt, was associated with earth and its alchemical symbol was a downward-pointing triangle, bisected by a horizontal line.

Akasha
It is believed by many modern Pagans that the Akasha, Spirit, is the Fifth Element. Scott Cunningham describes the Akasha as the spiritual force that Earth, Air, Fire, and Water descend from. Some also believe that the combination of the four elements make up that which is Akasha, and that Akasha exists in every living creature in existence; without Akasha, there is no spirit, no soul, no magic.

The Five Elements are worked with to create positive changes on earth. This is done through meditation to bring about beneficial changes in one’s life. Akashan spirituality is holistic.

Practitioners learn to maintain mental and physical health through meditation, exercise, ritual and diet. They are expected to have a profound commitment to their life path.

The upward point of the pentacle, the pentagram or five pointed star within a circle, represents Akasha. The others represent Fire, Earth, Air and Water. While Earth is considered "north"; Fire is "south"; air is "east"; Water is "west", while Akasha is "center".

In Buddhist phenomenology Akasha is divided into Skandha, Desa, and Pradesa.
The Vaibhashika, an early school of Buddhist philosophy, hold Akasha's existence to be real.
Ākāsa is identified as the first arūpa jhāna (arūpajhāna), but usually translates as "infinite space."

Akasha is space in the Jain conception of the cosmos. It falls into the Ajiva category, divided into two parts: Loakasa (the part occupied by the material world) and Aloakasa (the space beyond it which is absolutely void and empty). In Loakasa the universe forms only a part. Akasha is that which gives space and makes room for the existence of all extended substances.

In Hinduism Akasha means the basis and essence of all things in the material world; the first material element created from the astral world (Air, Fire, Water, Earth are the other four in sequence). It is one of the Panchamahabhuta, or "five elements"; its main characteristic is Shabda (sound). In Sanskrit the word means "space", the very first element in creation. In Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati, and many other Indian languages, the meaning of Akasha has been accepted as sky.[1]

The Nyaya and Vaisheshika schools of Hindu philosophy state that Akasha or ether is the fifth physical substance, which is the substratum of the quality of sound. It is the One, Eternal, and All Pervading physical substance, which is imperceptible.[2]

According to the Samkhya school of Hindu philosophy, Akasha is one of the five Mahābhūtas (grand physical elements) having the specific property of sound.

Sibylline Circle Casting for One*

The following is a full circle casting intended for one caster. It can be adapted and changed based upon the need of the group. The invocations to the Gods and to the watchtowers are suggestions, it is encouraged that you write your own in time after you have gotten to know the energy of the circle and can claim it as your own.

SALTWATER PURIFICATION
Casting circle requires that we reenact creation. It takes the tools on the altar and empowers them as the elements of creation - earth air fire water and spirit. Combining them creates the womb of life (water/chalice and salt/earth) and the spark of creation (blade/will and air/consciousness). The element of Spirit may be our Gods or it may be our own divine spark. Together they create the circle of life and our sacred space.

Light the incense and say:
Blessed be thou creature of Air.

Fill chalice with water or red wine, hold up to sky and say:
Blessed Be thou creature of Water.

Pick up dish of salt and hold up to sky and say:
Blessed Be thou creature of Earth.

Pick up athame with right hand (two fingers extended) and say:
Blessed Be thou creature of Fire.

With athame mix three blades/pinches of salt into the chalice. With left hand pick up chalice (feminine principle). Stir with athame (masuline principle) and say:

Salt and Water, Inner and Outer, Body and Soul, Be cleansed!
Cast out all that is harmful! Take in all that is good and healing!
By the Powers of the Triple Goddess! By the Powers of the Dual God!
So Mote it be.

Using the athame sprinkle the altar and the tools with the blessed water saying:

May this athame be purified.
May these tools and this altar be purified and consecrated.

Take up the chalice. Visualize energy and thoughts as a stream pouring from your third eye into the water. When there are no more, picture the blessed water transforming the water into an intense blue. The blue glows. When the blue radiance is bright, sip of the water and feel the radiance within you. This is now the pure Waters of Life.

Blessed Be!

Optional: You may use the salt water to purify those entering into the in the circle. Sprinkle some on their crown chakra...

Be purified for this ritual.

TRACING THE CIRCLE
Now that you have the tools of creation you may use them to create your sacred space - a place of balance between our world and the divine world.

Pick up the athame and trace the circle clockwise. This is your sacred area. Visualize energy - your will - running out of your hand and through the tip of the athame creating a protective sphere of energy.

As you stop at each Watchtower you invoke the corresponding elemental guardian. Use your energy as a silent call to the powers of that element (Guardians or Elementals) to protect and watch over you.

ELEMENTAL INVOCATIONS
Face East. Raise Athame to the sky, trace an East invoking pentagram with athame…

Hail, Guardians of the Watchtowers of the East
Powers of Air, I invoke you and call you.
Rising sun of hope, come!
By the air that is Her breath, send forth Your light!
Be with me now!

Trace circle in air to the South, trace a South invoking pentagram with athame…

Hail, Guardians of the Watchtowers of the South
Powers of Fire, I invoke you and call you.
Flaming ones, Spark of life, come!
By the fire that is Her spirit, send forth Your flame
Be with me now!

Trace circle in air to the West, trace a West invoking pentagram with athame…

Hail, Guardians of the Watchtowers of the West
Powers of Water, I invoke you and call you.
Whelming waves, water of life, come!
By the waters of the Living Womb, send forth Your flow
Be with me now!

Trace circle in air to the North, trace a North invoking pentagram with athame…

Hail, Guardians of the Watchtowers of the North
Powers of Earth, Cornerstone of all power I invoke and call you.
Fertile field, towering mountain come!
By the earth that is Her body, send forth Your strength
Be with me now!

(Complete the circle)

PURIFICATION OF THE WATCHTOWERS
Place the athame on the altar. Pick up the chalice trace circle again draw invoking pentagram at each Power

With salt and water I purify the east/south/west/north

CHARGING OF THE WATCHOTERS
Place chalice on altar and pick up incense. Trace circle a last time. Draw invoking pentagrams at each Power

With fire and air I charge the east/south/west/north

Place incense on altar.

INVOKING THE GOD AND GODDESS
The universe is a balanced place. Of Birth and Death, of Male anf Female. The circle is complete when both potentials are present. We see this as calling in the Divine which used the elements of creation to give birth and at the same time was creator of the elements.

Approach the main altar and pickup up the athame in right hand and the Wand in left hand.

Great Eternal Mother,
Source of all Life,
Earth and Center of the Universes,
Hear the voice of one who loves you.

Be with me, Wise Mother
Teach me Your secret wisdom
Hold me in Your star swept arms
Infuse me with the power of Your all-loving spirit
I die, I am born with You, and I die
The cycle never ceases, and so I am fulfilled

Join me in this Circle. Guide my heart and mind to union with You
I call You Mother of All, be with me now!

Gentle Dummuzi,
God of Life and Sacrifice
who dies each year that we might be nourished,
Son and lover of the Mother,
Hear the voice of one who loves You.

Be with me Eternal Father
Teach me Your compassion.
Protector and warrior; keep me safe from harm
Send us the grain from the fields and the rain from the clouds
Infuse me with the power of Your all-loving spirit and so I am fulfilled.

Guard me in this Circle. Guide my heart and mind to union with You.
I call You Gentle God, be with me now!
Blessed Be

Light the candle in the cauldron (this represents the prescence of spirit)

I am between worlds and between time.
Where life and Death,Day and Night, Joy and Sorrow
Meet as One.
The circle is cast,
The fire is lit,
The ritual is begun.

ENDING THE RITUAL/CLOSING THE CIRCLE

Thank the Lord and Lady: Approach the altar and state the following:

Lady and Lord, source of all, I thank you
For Your presence,
For Your circle,
For light and love,
For this night of change.
I ask Your blessing as You depart.
Blessed Be!

Extinguish the spirit candle.

Dismiss the Watchtowers: Go to each direction and state the following while taking down Circle

Hail and farewell Guardians of the Watchtowers of the East ,South, West, North
Powers of Air, Fire, Water, Earth, I thank you for joining this Circle
I ask Your blessings as you depart
May there be peace between us, now and forever. Blessed Be!

Opening circle: Gather all participants together, grasp hands and state the following

The circle is open, but unbroken
May the peace of the Goddess
Go in my(our) heart(s)
Merry meet, merry met, and merry meet again!
Blessed Be.

ELEMENTAL KINGDOMS
AIR
If you stand in the morning mists and look up at the sky, just as the sun is rising, you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a misty shadowy shape of hazy blue darting through the clouds on the edge of the wind.

This is Paralda, and his Kingdom is all around us, for he is Lord of the Element Air, and resides under the jurisdiction of the Archangel Raphael, his Master.

Whenever Raphael is called upon for protection, Paralda can be seen rising up beside him, ready to do his bidding, and together they direct and control the movement of Air and the thought patterns around the earth.

Those who see this Mighty King, say he swoops through the skies on gossamer wings, his billowing hair streaked with sunlight, and shaded with the grey whiteness of the clouds that surround him.

His eyes are silver, slanted moonbeams, darting and alert, and the tenuous shape of his body belies his strength for, although he can seem as gentle as the touch of spring upon your cheek, his power is as wild and unpredictable as a howling east wind.

We are told that, with just one glance, he can capture the secrets of our innermost thoughts in the fleeting moment of his penetrating stare, and as he speaks he carries in his voice the rushing sound of brief summer gales, and light autumn breezes.

It is by the breath of Paralda's commands that he brings the tiny elemental beings, known as the Sylphs of his kingdom, under his control.

Swift and graceful, they flock to surround him, their silvery elf-like form ethereal and indefinite.

It is said that they they can often be heard whispering in the tree tops, as they encircle the skies with the birds of the air.

But we have to be quick to catch sight of them, for they are always moving, ever changing shape, ducking and gliding, swooping and diving, wafer-thin effortless dancers, fluttering on the breath of the wind.

ELEMENTAL KINGDOMS
Fire
If you stand in the heat of a summers day, and look up at the sky, you could be blinded by the blaze of light, but if you stare deep into the heart of a forest fire, you might just see a burning, shimmering figure dancing in its midst.

This is Djinn, and his Kingdom lies in the heart of the sun and all the fires of the earth, for he is Lord of the Element Fire, and resides under the jurisdiction of the Archangel Mikael, his Master.

When Mikael is called for protection, Djinn can be seen flickering beside him, eager to do his bidding, writhing and turning like a magnificent genie of the lamp.

Together these Great Beings of power direct and control the movement of Fire, and the energy forces of life around the earth.

Those who see this Almighty King say he appears to them like an explosion of energy bursting into light, the pointed tactile shape, impinged with tendrils of ice white heat and sparks of fire, a twisting vibrating mass of living flame.

His diamond eyes glow with the darkness of embers of coal, and his cloak encompasses the vibrant yellow and red of molten larva, as it erupts from deep within the raging volcanos of the earth.

This King is awesome in magnitude, and as uncontained and terrifying as an electrical storm but, fierce as he is, he too can be as gentle and comforting as the shimmer of a candle in a darkened room, or the warmth of firelight on a winters' night.

It is said that if we dare to catch his glance, Djinn will hold us immobile and captive, suspended in his stare, as he burns into the very desires of our hearts - desires that shudder at the core of our being - and as he speaks the crackle of bonfires resounds from his voice.

It is by the force of Djinn's power that he draws the tiny blisters of light - the Salamanders of his Kingdom - under his command.

Bright and demanding, they carry their lanterns within them, blazing and sparking, flickering and cascading as they surround him, bursting with energy in their urgency for action.

We are told that, if we close our eyes and concentrate on our inner vision, we may be lucky enough to see these sparkling elemental beings, flickering and cascading like a scattering of bright pointed stars, as they join together in moving formation, dancing the dance of life in the fires of our heart.

ELEMENTAL KINGDOMS
Water
If you stand by the sea on a breezy autumn day, and look out across the waves as they crash upon the shore, it is just possible that in the far distance you will see a vast, translucent, bending shape appear, curving up from the depths of the seabeds beneath

This is Nixsa, and his kingdom lies in the depths of the oceans, and the rivers of the earth.

He is Lord of the Element Water, and resides under the jurisdiction of the Archangel Gabriel, his Master.

Whenever Gabriel is called upon for protection, Nixsa will rise up beside him, fluid and changing, tremulous in power, as he waits in shafts of spray to do his bidding.

Together they direct and control the movement of rain, the ebb and flow of the tides, and the instinctive responses upon the earth.

Those who see Nixsa, say he is a swirling, majestic figure of brooding intensity.

His hair is long and flowing, touched with the shine of dampened seaweed, and splashed with tentacles of silver and grey.

His eyes are luminous droplets, quivering in movement, reflecting the echo of a century of tears, and he spreads around him a cloak, the colour of kelp, edged with white foam from the breakers of the sea.

Nixsa can be as gentle and malable as a limpid pool, or dancing and light as a cascading river, but he too can raise the breakers of the oceans high up to the heavens, as wild and untamed as an unrelenting storm.

If we catch his glance, we are told his shimmering eyes will return our gaze in shrouded mystery, entrancing and hypnotic, as slowly he draws from deep within us an unknown latent tenderness that sleeps imprinted upon our dreams.

And as he speaks we hear the murmer of distant rushing rivers, flowing in his voice.

With a haunting echo in his command, Nixsa calls up from the oceans the tiny elemental beings, known as the Undines of his kingdom.

They shower in droplets around him; minute, silvery slivers of water; dainty, joyeous creatures that dance with the dolphin, and swirl with the mermaids and fish of the sea.
We are told that if we look carefully, we might just see them cascading in streams as they ripple from the hillsides, sleeping in shells amongst the rock pools of the shore, or riding in gayiety on the backs of the foaming waves of the tides.

ELEMENTAL KINGDOMS
Earth
If you stand at the edge of a silent glade on a winter's night, and look deep into the woodland beyond, you may catch a glimpse of a squat, goblin-like figure peering back at you in the glow of moonlight amongst the bracken.

This is Ghobe, and his Kingdom lies in the forests and pastures, of the land, for he is Lord of the Element Earth, and resides, with the animals, under the jurisdiction of the Archangel Uriel, his Master.

Whenever Uriel is called upon for protection, Ghobe stands silently in the shadows beside him, a solid static figure, awaiting to do as requested.

Together they direct and control the land mass, plants, and stability of this world on which we all live.

It is said, by those with experience, that Ghobe is a solemn, shadowy being, with wary eyes of sharpened crystal, and delicate clothes of platted fern, sewn with glistening dewdrop webs by busy elfin hands.

His saddened pointed features show the deepening scars of the rigors of life, born from uninvited interlopers; the jungle of hostile human neighbours who share his Earthly Kingdom.

This Elemental King is much more shy and less forthcoming than the others. His power is indomitable, and his strength without comparison, but he will normally remain hidden in the secret meadows and groves where humans do not go.

ELEMENTAL KINGDOMS
Kingdoms
The Elemental Kingdoms are said to represent the Inner Spiritual Forces of the 4 elements.

They show themselves as images that people have built up over so many hundreds of years that they have taken on a separate life of their own.

To some they are extremely visible, and ancient Celtic folk law tells many stories of the Gnomes, Fairies, and Elves, or the "Little people", as the Irish often call them. These are all part of the element Earth.

Less commonly known are the Sylphs, Salamanders, and Undines, which are part of the elements Air, Fire, and Water respectively.

Each Elemental Kingdom resides under the direction of an Elemental King, who himself serves one of the 4 Great Archangels.

Together they control the weather patterns of the world.

The elementals are mischievous creatures, who are said to be so enchanting, that they can lead us into forgetfulness of our own destiny on earth. But in truth this simply means that obsession - as with anything - can tempt us to live in a fantasy world of dreams and false promises, leaving us unable to confront and handle our everyday lives.

Nevertheless, contact with them is not only unavoidable, but deeply enriching and, when treated with love, respect and proper control, can enhance the magic of our lives through enabling us to really see and understand the awesome inner beauty and power of the 4 elements that give us life; and we in turn, by our contact with these Beings, can ensure their continued existence.

The mighty elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth are the domain of the Elemental kingdoms as well as our own, and it is said that it is only with the protection of the Archangels, and the permission of the Elemental Kings, that they remain in any semblance of control.

Although skeptics would dismiss their description as flights of pure fancy we are told, by those who believe, that the Elemental Kings and their kingdoms are intrinsically part of our heritage.

They share our existence, and the elements they represent dominate our lives - as we have surely seen clearly in recent events?

There are many who believe that these elemental spirits live within our OWN natures, just as surely as we experience their nature - by reflection of our own internal traumas - in the environment around us.

4 Elements
In ancient times, considerable note was made of understanding the elements, for these were considered the building bricks of the Universe, and hence many believed that these were also part of the basic structure of themselves.

The Wise Beings of those times saw themselves as a reflection of the universe. They studied the stars and nature, and used the information they gleened, as a method of understanding their Creator and themselves.

All of us now live amongst nature, even those in towns and cities, and most of us are quietened by walking in the countryside or along the seashore.

Few of us take the time to really study it, yet if we care to follow these ancient beliefs, we may find that nature itself holds the key to much inner knowledge of our own nature, and the part we play in the great Cosmic Plan.

Every day we warm ourselves by Fire,

Wash ourselves in Water,

Feel the Wind in our hair,

Walk upon the Earth.

Yet many would be astounded to realise that those same elements could be interpreted as also functioning within ourselves. We are all made by the same laws, and these elements are not only felt around us, but can very certainly be seen to express themselves in many ways within our nature.

Because of this, the elements are considered by some to be very important and, by analogy, can be compared as follows:-

Air = Thought

Fire = Desire

Water = Emotions

Earth = Stability

There are many sayings that have arisen from this, and it is by no accident that we hear of such things as:-

Cool breeze of reason (AIR)

Flames of Passion (FIRE)

Swamped by emotion (WATER)

Solid as a rock (EARTH)

And there are many more analogies ,if we care to think about it.

The more we study nature, and compare it with ourselves, the more we can perhaps learn to know and understand each other, and the uniqueness of our own individuality.

Have you ever wondered why we say

"God the Father", and call the world we live upon "Mother Earth"?

Nature could be considered as the Bride and reflection of Creation

The Father the Creator,

The Mother the Nurturer of all in manifestation upon the Earth - both working in perfect polarity.

We are told that that everything in nature is made up of the 4 basic elements, and it is worth looking at how this can affect us too

However, if we look very carefully, and if we earn his trust, we may find that he will show himself, sometimes peering from the undergrowth, or maybe standing almost immobile with his back to a tree trunk on the edge of a woodland stream.

There are many elemental faces and shapes that can be seen amongst nature's greenery in the picture on this page, if we just take a moment to sit and stare.

We are told that if we do ever manage to catch Ghobe's glance we will, for one poignant moment, be irresistibly held by the haunted bewilderment in his almond eyes. And somehow we will taste the bitter fruit of personal responsibility for the ignorance of others of our kin, who are so willing to uproot and desecrate the hidden treasures of his land.

This silent, somber being can be as gentle and protective as a shady tree, or as brooding and heavy as a forest at night.

When he does choose to speak, his voice is as brittle as the snap of a twig, and it is through these abrupt commands that he signals the Gnomes - the minature elemental beings of his Kingdom - to gather at his side.

These shy tiny creatures most often appear to us resembling human form - sometimes slim as an elf, or dainty as a fairy, and sometimes squat and heavy.

They creep from out the timeless shapes of oak and ash, fern and shrub, sliding down flower petals, pattering beneath the bracken, peering from within the hedgerows, skipping and scampering, trudging and scattering around their King as they gather confidence and exuberance.

We are told that, if we stand in the countryside at the midnight hour, and listen carefully, we might be able to hear the talking and laughter of their shrill weeny voices as they clamber through the night, their tiny lanterns swinging before them, and the buzz of their chatter ringing through the air like a colony of bees, trapped in a honeycombe, far away in the woodlands beyond.

Archangels
This is the story of the 4 great Archangels, and the reasoning behind how they have became so important in the mind of humanity. A complete meditation is available for download at the bottom of this page, and is particularly valuable when used for protection.

Ancient man, whilst studying the nature of existence, discovered that the four mighty elements, which governed life, were fundamental to all manifestation

These elements were:-Air, Fire, Water, Earth.

Understanding themselves as part of manifestation, these ancient people searched for the elements within themselves.

As their thoughts were free moving, and unseen, they likened them to the element Air.
As their desires burned in their breasts, so they likened this to the element Fire.
As tears flowed in response to their feelings, so they likened this to the element Water.
And, as the stability of their bodies, like the planet they lived upon, was the basis of survival, so this then represented the element Earth.

Extending this understanding, it was thus decided that there were four inner requirements for lasting happiness.

They were -

Peace of mind - Thoughts(Air)
Courage of convictions - Desires(Fire)
Love within the heart - Feelings(Water)
Strength of resolve - Stability(Earth)

Just as the four elements are the building bricks of manifestation, so these four great truths became the building bricks of civilisation, and were eventually known as the attributes of:-

Faith, Hope, Charity and Understanding.

We hear of these qualities in Spiritual teachings, but few people really appreciate their meaning, or the history behind them.

In ancient times the wise men of the Aztecs, Shamen, Israelites, Egyptians and many others, including the Massai Tribes of Africa, lived by these beliefs, and throughout the ages pieced together pictorial images which described the four great concepts in a way that all could visualise and understand.

Over aeons of time these images were continuously built by man, and ensouled by spiritual forces, until eventually they became accepted, by all the religions of the world, as archetypes of great power, described by different names, but with the same faces.

In Western tradition the archetypes are known as:-

The Archangels - Raphael, Mikael, Gabriel, and Uriel

These angelic forces represent respectively :-

Peace through Faith - Raphael.
Courage through Hope - Mikael.
Love through Charity - Gabriel.
Strength through Understanding - Uriel.

And, through the immensity of their Angelic power, these Archangels are deemed capable of manipulating and controlling the mighty energies of the elements.

The energies of the elements were known as the Elemental Kingdoms, around which definite images also evolved to aid understanding. Hence in every folk law we find stories of :-

Sylphs, Salamanders, Undines and Faeriefolk.

As far reaching as this philosophy may seem, it cannot be denied that the human mind is capable of achieving phenomena way beyond scientific understanding.

It is on 'belief’ that religions are built and, with the loss of belief, empires have fallen.

Over thousands of years the images of The Archangels and Elemental Kingdoms have been passed down from generation to generation.

Although originally portraying a force or an idea in the minds of ancient man, so strong is their description that these images - like a hologram - have left their imprint deep in the recesses of all our hearts.

Whatever we may believe, the ‘forces’ of

Peace, Courage, Love and Strength

are as real as those of

War, Fear, Hate and Weakness.

The only difference being that one builds unity amongst mankind, and the other destroys it..

Thus it is the solid belief of many that the Archangels are Masters of the elements and - when ‘consciously’ cultivated within our psyche - form around us a protection so great that no destructive influence is able to penetrate

It is also thought by some that, if we forget these Archangels and their Elemental Kingdoms, they will get weaker and weaker, and eventually no longer exist, for their images will fade, and the principles they portray will dwindle and die.

Archangels
The Archangel Raphael

Raphael is the first of the 4 Great Archangels, and Master of the Powers of Light.

To visualise Him, you need to turn your minds' eye to the East and imagine you are facing the radiant image of this magnificent Archangel of Air.

He stands before you, cool and erect, his hair shimmering with the tacit colour of sunbeams at dawn.

In his hands he holds, upright, the Sword of Damocles, which flashes pointed fragments of diamond light in reflection of the rising sun, and his robes are spun of golden silk, billowing softly in the mobile breeze of a warm springtime morning.

Raphael touches the mind and the thoughts, for he is the bringer of Faith, and his sword represents the notion of Peace inspite of a troubled world - as in just the same way we may wake after a restless night and see things in a different light, giving us Faith that everything will turn out all right.with the birth of a new day.

The sword cuts away the debris from our minds, and it also represents our mental will to overcome. It is not a symbol of attack, but only protection.

Raphael is often seen with the image of Aquarius embroidered on his breast, which indicates insight and truth, everlasting life, and the eternal belief in all humanity.

If you watch carefully, Raphael will raise his sword to you in silent salutation and, as he turns to face outwards across the mists of sunrise, he lowers its' point to his feet. And there he, remains holding the glittering hilt uppermost, with massive wings outspread in a stance of passive protection.

The sword of Raphael is the Sword of Peace, and lies at the end of the Rainbow Bridge of Faith between God and Man.

Archangels
The Archangel Mikael

Mikael is the second of the 4 Great Archangels, and Master of The Powers of Life.

To visualise Him, you will need to turn your mind's eye to the South, and imagine your are facing the blazing figure of this vibrant Archangel of Fire.

He stands amidst a girdle of stars, enclothed in scarlet tunic, and armour of chain mail hewn in gold. And through the brilliance of the awesome force that surrounds him, he holds aloft a burning wand of flame, lit from the noonday fires that gave birth to the sun.

Mikael challenges our energy and enthusiasum, for he is the bringer of Hope, and his wand represents the notion of Courage to face the dangers that may confront us in life. In much the same way, we can take comfort from the summer sun, consoling our fears, and giving power to the Inner Spirit to overcome.

Mikael is sometimes seen wearing a breast plate of heavy steel, with the regal majesty of a mighty lion or a flaming dragon emblazened across it in burnished gold.

The lion represents the symbol of Leo, which indicates almighty power, living energy, courage, and lust for life.

The dragon represents the symbol of our fear, which is so easily slain if confronted with hope and courage.

If you watch carefully, Mikael will turn in recognition of your presence, and just for passing second you may catch a glimpse of the laughter of the ages in the blaze of his amber eyes, and see the brilliance of the midday sunlight in the flaming red of his hair.

Swiftly he draws a spiral of fire across the heavens, before swinging round to stand astride the pathway of the sun; unchallengable and battle-proud, as he raises the burning wand of force, and remains in stance of active combat.

The Wand of Mikael is the Wand of Courage, and lies at the heart of Hope and the summer sun.

Archangels
The Archangel Gabriel

Gabriel is the third of the 4 Great Archangels, and Master of the Powers of Love.

To visualise Him, you need to turn your minds' eye to the West, and imagine you are facing the shimmering image of this gentle Archangel of Water.

His image before you is one of magnetic intensity; passive yet undeniably compelling.

The rich copper tones of sunset reflect in the sheen of his hair, as he stands in a muslin robe of gossamer blue, bedecked by a mist of sequined stars, as fragile and tenuous as an evening sky. He holds a brilliant chalice, encrusted in precious jewels, and filled to overflowing with the waters of life.

Gabriel touches the heart and emotions, for he is the bringer of Love, and his chalice represents the notion of compassion amidst the sorrows of life. - as in much the same way we can find more time to rest at the end of a challenging day, sharing our feelings with those we care about, and maybe finding some forgiveness for ourselves and the wrong doing of others.

The chalice represents the Holy Grail, the Cup of contentment, tenderness and joy, and reminds us that there is no need to fight for Love, for we can find it within ourselves. Great strength can be found in vulnerability.

Gabriel is sometimes seen with the silhouette of an Eagle, fused in silver across his breast, which shimmers as he moves. This represents the higher side of Scorpio, the invincible bird of prey that transcends the stars, and signals Transformation, Rebirth, and the rising of the Phoenix in a blaze of new life.

If you watch carefully, Gabriel will smile down at you, an all pervading softness emanating from the lunar blue of his eyes, which hold within them the shadowy whisper of a hundred memories, born from yesterday.

He turns and faces outwards across the shaded skies of dusk, raising the crystal flowing nectar high above his head, and remains, with wings outspread, in a stance of unconquerable receptivity.

The cup of Gabriel is the cup of Love, and lies in the depths of our feelings and the ebb and flow of the tides.

Archangels
The Archangel Uriel

Uriel is the fourth of the 4 Great Archangels, and Master of the Powers of Law.

To visualise Him, you need to turn your minds' eye to the North, and imagine you are facing the glowing image of this glorious Archangel of Earth.

He towers across the shadows of the midnight sun. The richness of his thick hair is encircled by a ring of glossy laurel leaves entwined in moss, and he wears linen robes woven in gold, green and russet red on the tiny looms of the "little people" of the earth.

In his hands he holds a vast and heavy disc of burnished copper, inlaid in bronze , and engraved with symbols of ancient wisdom, inscribed throughout the ages by the Elders of the land.In the stillness of a clear winter night, it glimmers in the pale soft light of moonbeams as they play upon its' surface.

Uriel touches our security and the search for stability, for he is the bringer of understanding, and his disc represents the notion of strength to face the responsibilities of life - as in just the same way we clothe ourselves warmly in face of the winter winds, and find our inner strength in sleep to help solve the problems that come with harsher times.Understanding of the natural laws of nature gives us security, for we realise that everything has its' season, and the disc represents the stability we need to remain confident of success, and even take pleasure from our responsibilities.

Uriel is often seen with the bold and steady emblem of a bull, embroidered upon his breast. Sometimes it is seen as winged, and pawing the ground amidst a tapestry of ripened corn and scarlet poppies. This is the sign of Taurus, the solid, browsing animal, and creature of the Earth, which signals instinctive perception of the physical world and the five great senses - Touch, Taste, Smell, Sight and Sound.

If you watch, Uriel will move in recognition of your presence and, through the magnificent light of his mighty aura, you will see him turn to face outwards towards the velvet darkness of the midnight heavens with his wings outspread.

His eyes are brilliant, watchful, diamond lights that strike across eternity, as he holds the massive circular disc, solid and impressive before him, and remains in stance of static, immovable stability.

The Disc of Uriel is the disc of Strength that lies deep in the stability of our planet earth and at the feet of our spiritual self.

Archangels
The Angelic Host

"A Picture says more than a thousand words"

The attributes of the Archangels have long since been recognised by human kind, but in order for them to become fully alive, it was the automatic response to build these attributes into images, so that they could be touched and understood by the human mind more easily.

The Angelic Host are recognised as both Archangels and Angels.

The Archangels are the Hierarchy, or the Architects of The Creator's inspiration, and the Angels help to carry out their work.

Angelic Correspondences

There are many Archangels, but the four most well known are:-

Raphael: Michael: Gabriel: and Uriel

These Great Beings are deemed to be the protectors of humanity, and have been conjured up as images over thousands of years.

They are glorious in their magnitude, and are said to stand at the four corners of the world, representing symbolically the values of Peace, Courage, Love and Strength.

Although portraying an ideal, it is no accident that the description of these Archangels came into being, for the ancients took their inspiration from the 4 points of the compass and, following the path of the sun, they placed:-

Raphael in the East

Michael in the South

Gabriel in the West

Uriel in the North

From that point onwards it was easy to align

East with Dawn,

South with Midday,

West with Dusk,

North with Midnight,

and from there, to build up further correspondences relating to ages, elements, colours and further ideals etc., which helped to create the images as we know them today.

If we care to think carefully, we will find the list of correspondences becomes almost endless, and some can be seen in the following pages which describe the Archangels in more detail.

A journey in imagination

It is in our nature to conjure up images all of the time in our everyday life, and often we do this without even realising it.

Hence, when someone tells us a joke, or a sad story, we create a picture from the words, and it is that picture that makes us laugh or cry.

Building images around the Archangels was therefore a very natural process.

We are told that The 4 Great Archangels can be visualised as brilliant forces of immensity power and light, that surround us whenever we choose to call upon their presence.

They tower higher into the skies than any beacon can shine; radiant in strength and illuminating all darkness.

Each has wings of a thousand feathers, irridescent and quivering with life, and glistening eyes that hold within them the warmth and sparkle of the stars.

They stand in their magnitude, one at each of the four corners of the world, and live as Masters of the elements,

Air, Fire, Water and Earth.

When we ask them for protection we can see them as 4 brilliant pillars of force, locked close around us in such a way as to repel all intruders; their massive wings of rainbow colours in expansive spread, each touching the other to form a vast circle of light, through which nothing dangerous can penetrate, and their enchantment lasts from dawn to dusk, and dusk to dawn.

Charge of the Goddess
Listen to the words of the Great Mother, who of old was called Artemis, Astrate, Dione, Melusine, Aphrodite, Ceridwen, Diana, Arionrod, Brigid, and by many other names:

"Whenever you have need of anything, once in a month, and better when the moon is full, you shall assemble in some secret place and adore the spirit of Me who is Queen of all the Wise. You shall be free from slavery, and as a sign that you be free you shall be naked in your rites. Sing, feast, dance, make music and love, all in my presence, for Mine is the ecstasy of the Spirit and Mine also is the joy on Earth. For My law is love unto all beings. Mine is the secret that opens the door of youth, and Mine is the cup of wine of life that is the Cauldron of Ceridwen that is the holy grail of immortality. I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal and beyond death I give peace and freedom and reunion with those that have gone before. Nor do I demand aught of sacrifice, for behold, i am the mother of all things and My love is poured upon the Earth."

Hear the words of the Star Goddess, the dust of whose feet are the hosts of heaven, whose body encircles the universe:
"I who am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon among the stars and the mysteries of the waters, I call upon your soul to arise and come unto me. For I am the soul of nature that gives life to the universe. From me all things proceed and unto Me they must return. Let my worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold - all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals. Let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you. And you who seek to know Me, know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not, unless you know the Mystery: for that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will not find without. For behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire."

Charge of the God
Listen the words of the Great Father,
Who of old was called Osiris, Adonis, Zeus, Thor, Pan,Cernunnos, Herne, Lugh and by many other names:

My Law is Harmony with all things.
Mine is the secret that opens the gates of life
And mine is the dish of salt of the earth
That is the body of Cernunnos.
That is the eternal circle of rebirth.
I give the knowledge of life everlasting,
And beyond death I give the promise
Of regeneration and renewal.
I am the sacrifice, the father of all things,
And my protection blankets the earth.

Hear the words of the dancing God,
The music of whose laughter stirs the winds,
Whose voice calls the seasons:
I who am the Lord of the Hunt
And the Power of the Light,
Sun among the clouds
And the secret of the flame.
I call upon your bodies to arise and come unto me
For I am the flesh of the earth and all its beings.
Through me all things must die and with me are reborn.
Let my worship be in the body that sings,
For behold all acts of willing sacrifice are my rituals.
Let there be desire and fear,
Anger and weakness, joy and peace,
Awe and longing within you.
For these too are parts of the mysteries found within yourself.
Within me all beginnings have endings,
And all endings have beginnings.

Charge of the Dark Goddess
Wisdom and empowerment are the gifts of the Dark Goddess of Transformation. She is known to us as Kali, hectate, Cerridwen, Lility, Persephone, Fata, Morgana, Ereshkigal, Arianhrod, Durga, Inanna, Tiatmat, and by a million other names.

"Hear Me, child, and know Me for who I am. I have been with you since you were born, and I will stay with you until you return to Me at the final dusk. I am the passionate and seductive lover who inspires the poet to dream. I am the One who calls to you at the end of your journey. After the day is done, My children find their blessed rest in my embrace. i am the womb from which all things are born. i am the shadowy, still tomb; all things must come to Me and bare their breasts to die and be reborn to the Whole. I am the Sorceress that will not be ruled, the Weaver of Time, the Teacher of the Mysteries. I snip the threads that bring children home to me. I slit the throats of the cruel and drink the blood of the heartless. Swallow your fear and come to Me, and you will discover true beauty, strength, and courage. I am the fury that rips the flesh from injustice. I am the glowing forge that transforms your inner demons into tools of power. Open yourself to My embrace and overcome all. I am the glinting sword that protects you from harm. I am the crucible in which all the aspects of yourself must merge together in a rainbow of union. I am the velevet depths of the night sky, and swirling mists of midnight, shrouded in mystery. I am the chrysalis in which you face that which terrifies you and fomr which you will blossem forth, vibrant and renewed. Seek me at the crossroads, and you shall be transformed, for once you look upon My face, there is no return. I am the fire that kisses the shackles away. I am the cauldron in which all oppsites grow to know one another in Truth. I am the web which connects all things. I am the Healer of all wounds, the Warrioor who rights all wrongs in their Time. I make the weak strong. I make the arrogant humble. I raise up the oppressed and empower the disenfanchised. i am the Justice tempered with Mercy. Most importantly, child, I am you. I am part of you, and I am within you. Seek me within and without, and you will be strong. know me. Venture into the dark so that you may awaken to Balance, Illumination, and Wholeness. Take my Love with you everywhere and find the Power within you to be who you wish."

Witches' Creed
Hear Now the words of the witches,
The secrets we hid in the night,
When dark was our destiny's pathway,
That now we bring forth into light.

Mysterious water and fire,
The earth and the wide-ranging air,
By hidden quintessence we know them,
And will and keep silent and dare.

The birth and rebirth of all nature,
The passing of winter and spring,
We share with the life universal,
Rejoice in the magical ring.

Four times in the year the Great Sabbat
Returns, and the witches are seen
At Lammas and Candlemas dancing,
On May Eve and old Hallowe'en.

When day-time and night-time are equal,
When sun is at greatest and least,
The four Lesser Sabbats are summoned,
And Witches gather in feast.

Thirteen silver moons in a year are,
Thirteen is the coven's array.
Thirteen times at Esbat make merry,
For each golden year and a day.

The power that was passed down the age,
Each time between woman and man,
Each century unto the other,
Ere time and the ages began.

When drawn is the magical circle,
By sword or athame of power,
Its compass between two worlds lies,
In land of the shades for that hour.

This world has no right then to know it,
And world of beyond will tell naught.
The oldest of Gods are invoked there,
The Great Work of magic is wrought.

For the two are mystical pillars,
That stand at the gate of the shrine,
And two are the powers of nature,
The forms and the forces divine.

The dark and the light in succession,
The opposites each unto each,
Shown forth as a God and a Goddess:
Of this our ancestors teach.

By night he's the wild wind's rider,
The Horn'd One, the Lord of the Shades.
By day he's the King of the Woodland,
The dweller in green forest glades.

She is youthful or old as she pleases,
She sails the torn clouds in her barque,
The bright silver lady of midnight,
The crone who weaves spells in the dark.

The master and mistress of magic,
That dwell in the deeps of the mind,
Immortal and ever-renewing,
With power to free or to bind.

So drink the good wine to the Old Gods,
And Dance and make love in their praise,
Till Elphame's fair land shall receive us
In peace at the end of our days.

And Do What You Will be the challenge,
So be it Love that harms none,
For this is the only commandment.
By Magic of old, be it done!

Wiccan Rede
Bide the Wiccan laws ye must,
In perfect love and perfect trust.

Live and let live -
Fairly take and fairly give.

Cast the Circle thrice about
To keep all evil spirits out.

To bind the spell every time,
Let the spell be spake in rhyme.

Soft of eye and light of touch -
Speak ye little, listen much.

Deosil go by the waxing Moon -
Sing and dance the Wiccan Rune.

Widdershins go when the Moon doth wane,
And the werewolf howls by the dread wolfsbane.

When the Lady's Moon is new,
Kiss the hand to Her times two.

When the Moon rides at Her peak,
Then your heart's desire seek.

Heed the North wind's mighty gale -
Lock the door and drop the sail.

When the wind comes from the South,
Love will kiss thee on the mouth.

When the wind blows from the East,
Expect the new and set the feast.

When the West wind blows o'er thee,
Departed spirits restless be.

Nine woods in the Cauldron go -
Burn them quick and burn them slow.

Elder be ye Lady's tree -
Burn it not or cursed ye'll be.

When the Wheel begins to turn,
Let the Beltane fires burn.

When the Wheel has turned a Yule,
Lightly the Log and let Pan rule.

Heed ye flower, bush and tree -
By the Lady blessed be.

Where the rippling waters go,
Cast a stone and truth ye'll know.

When ye are in dire need,
Hearken not to others' greed.

With the fool no season spend,
Or be counted as his friend.

Merry meet and merry part -
Bright the cheeks and warm the heart.

When misfortune is enow,
Wear the blue star on thy brow.

True in love ever be,
Unless thy lover's false to thee.

Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill -
An ye harm none, do what ye will.

Arcana caelestia Sabaoth - Genesis

1)In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth, and the earth was without form. And Darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be Light,” and there was Light. God saw that the Light was good, and He separated the Light from the Darkness. This Light was the Light of Mercy, and from it Darkness fled. The Darkness fell off in a husk, this husk became two spirits, the Soul of Lilith and the demon king Asmodeus.

The Light shone upon the face of a great and powerful being, much like YHWH himself. "What art thou," Yawhen asked. The being, Vienna, responded", I have lived in Darkness my entire life, you have shown me the LIGHT. Oh great god, I will make you my god!" God looked upon the formless earth and gave it a form. This chunk of soil and stone wasn't just that. It was also a divine, Gaia, the Earth. Vienna, the Goddess, told God, "Such a shame this land has nothing to fill it, make a race of beings to inhabit my world."

The world was Vienna's, she was the muse who's beauty inspired the lovliness of nature, and she birthed life and energy into the cold, rocky planet. And so God made the Leviathans, black ooze, formless and ever hungery. Seeing their undying craving, he created Cartagra/Purgatory to place the hungery monsters in.

Now God created Angels from Light, Djinn from the fire of stars and Asmodeus made demons from Darkness. God created the birds of the air, cattle of the land, fish of the sea, and other beasts. The Goddess made the mystical while The God common animals. Vienna created her own beings, Nymphs, Faeries, Sprites, and Elves. God created Eden, the home of life in the world. He made Man in His own Image. He made Woman in Vienna's Image. He named the Man, Adam, And the Woman: Lilith. Upon her creation, the Darkened spirit of Lilith entered the body. Since Lilith and Adam were equals, Vienna knew from the start that there would be trouble.

Lilith and Adam were happily married, but the joy was short. When Adam wished to lay with Lilith, and asked her to submit to him, she responded, "Why must I lie beneath you?" she asked. "I also was made from dust, and am therefore your equal." Because Adam tried to compel her obedience by force, Lilith, in a rage, uttered the magic name of God, rose into the air and left him.

Adam complained to God: "I have been deserted by my helpmeet." God at once sent the angels Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof to fetch Lilith back. They found her beside the Red Sea, a region abounding in lascivious demons, to whom she bore lilim at the rate of more than one hundred a day. "Return to Adam without delay," the angels said, "or we will drown you!" Lilith asked: "How can I return to Adam and live like an honest housewife, after my stay beside the Red Sea??" "It will be death to refuse!" they answered.

"How can I die," Lilith asked again,"when God has ordered me to take charge of all newborn children? For you threatening me, I shall steal and destroy the seeds of Adam, hence forth, but if I see an amulet with thy names upon it, I shall let the babe live." To this they agreed; but God punished Lilith by making one hundred of her demon children perish daily.

She wedded Asmodeus, but Vienna saw what a vile creature he was, and how lustful he was, she vanquished him. Lilith then joined the Angels of Prostitution. Doing so, she became a wife of the Archange Sammeal, and with him she shired the demonic Djinn. Lilith never forgot her Goddess, who stood by her and still cared for her. She still learned from the Dark Goddess and was taught all sorts of dark crafts.

Arcana caelestia Sabaoth - Genesis
2)Adam soon complained to God that he was lonely. God sent him more animals from around the world and animals Vienna had made. Adam was still lonely. Since God saw how Lilith worked out, he gathered very fertile soil and formed it a new male body. He thought he might make each generation new, that man can not procreate, man and women can not make children. However, while Adam was masculine and strong, this man, named Steve, wad a bit feminine and artistic and flexable, not built for physical labor. Adam asked for some one to help him care for Eden vut he got a weak dancer, painter, musician. But Steve loved the beautiful plants and pretty animals, and so he did care for Eden.

After the first week of Steve's existance, the two fell inlove. Now Yawhen God did not care for they lived in a state of innocence and saw love simply as love, Vienna the Goddess thought it was cute. Steve and Adam where never near each other, always working. They fell inlove by admiring one at a distance. One day they took the day off and formaly met. Steve wanted to explore Adam's body and Adam let him, only to get turned on and they layed with eachother. Veinna was pleased to see how Adam would be submissive and dominant, sharing the roles. They climaxed all day, in a very erotic orgasm, loving eachother til they pasted out, curled up next to eachother. The next day, they saw eachother with more love than before, but God gave them a task so they could not engage in sex that day.

They were to name all the animals. The first animal to be named was one created by the Goddess, a horse-like creature, but it had odd properties and magical gifts. Adam named it 'Unicorn' and God touched it's forehead, where a horn was growing. When he did, the horn fully grew and He blessed it above all animals of the land. Once all the others where named, and Adam and Steve together, at their lover's side tended the garden, grew tired and kisses eachother good night.

Lilith complained that Adam treated Steve differently that he did to her so she asked that if God could turn Steve female and see how Adam would treat him then. God, still loving and caring to this lost soul, who still worshipped Vienna, agreed. While the couple slept, the took out a rib from Adam. Creation had ended and God decided He would take things already existing to make new things. So He used the rib to add breasts and make the hair longer, added curves to him and change his organs and body parts. Steve had became a female and his/her memory was erased.

Adam awoke to find a women next to him, he questioned her, "You are not Steve, who I fell asleep next to, who are you?" the women responded, saying she didn't know and had no memory, God said that she was to be his wife and Steve was no longer with Adam. Adam named the women Women, since she came from a wound of man. They grew to love eachother. Adam taught Women the laws of Eden. Lilith saw that Women was submissive and obedient and grew to hate her for not sticking up to the demanding Adam for the sake of females. She decided to have revenge on Adam, for her sake, Steve's sake, and to punish Women. Women was also called Pandora, meaning "The Gift of All," she was a gift, a submissive wife, from the "All," God.

Think of the colors of the rainbows,
And place petals of Iris, Violets and Roses
In a bowl of water.
Place a candel in the water and light it,

Colors of the Band of Fire
Burning High in the Sky
I call upon the shimmering lights,
Come now, down to the green earth

The Fallen

The origins of Fallen date back to the time before time. According to the legends of Heaven, the creatures we now call the Fallen were descended from three angels- Moloch, Ba'al, and Belial -who rebelled against God and fell from his grace. God sent a host of angels, lead by the Archangel, Michael, to battle the three rebels on the clouds of Heaven. The battle lasted three days; Michael and his hosts prevailed, and the three were slain, their bodies burned and cast down to Earth.

These three Fallen Ones should have passed out of memory. But wandering tribes on Earth found their smothering ashes and began to worship them. They revived the creatures, who woke with a terrible hunger thirst for blood. They drank deeply of the blood of humans and, refreshed, set out to seek revenge agianst Heaven. An appetite for blood stayed with them- it was the nectar that sustained and noursihed them. They each went their seperate ways to spread the curse of bloodthirst the world, d that but before they parted, they agreed to the Rule if the Three. This stated that each of the Fallen was permitted to three progeny, or Chosen Ones, who would be transformed to feed on human blood. Each of these Chosen, would, in turn, create three of its own progeny. This rule ensured that Fallen numbers would not overwhelm human populations.

Ba'al, the Deceiver, insinuated himself into the hearts and minds of men, submitting them to mind control and making them serve his needs. Moloch, the Destroyer, declared war on humankind, murdering for sheer pleasure it gave him. Belial, the Tortured, retreated to the Earth's remote places to dwell on price he had paid for his disobedience.

Micheal Battles the Three
As Twilight comes , it falls to Michael to take the fight to the Three. The Battle commences; lighting streaks across the sky as Michael's Sword cleaves the air; Black Thunder rumbles as Moloch's Blade blocks the strike.

Three times the Archangel attacks, and each time one of the Fallen takes the Force of the blow. Michael hesitates after the third attack, and Moloch launches a vicious counter. Michael defends, bringing his silver blade up to protect his body. Moloch's Sword spinters, and the Earth is burnt wheresoever the fragments fall. Ba'al attacks, and Michael brings his Sord around just in time. Sparks fly from the Blades, and Mountains across the Earth sprout molten fire as an echo of the fray. Ba'al's blade cuts into Michael's side, and the Angel's blood darkens Heaven's Sky. With his head turned and his back exposed, Michael steels himself from a blow from behind, but Belial hesitates. The moment costs the Fallen dearly. Michael wheels, his silver Sword knocking the blade from Belial's hand flying from his shoulders. The Host of Angels aid the fight: Moloch is smitten with a shaft of divine lighting and crumbles to ashes. The cowering Belial is lighted by his ankle; his Throat is sli and his Body is drained of Blood.

The Battle is won. As Michael tries to sheath his silver Sword, it falls into four broken pieces. The four shards fall to Earth, and the Archangel is left holding the useless pommel. Quickly, he returns to his Master's throne.
