I don't know that I would count the cave per se since it is an enclosed space. But a cave could be found in an open outdorsy area.

Glittering eyes is acceptable.

And no you are not being annoying.

Per the rules "Must be a real place, known to the masses. " So no, fictional ones wouldn't work.

message 58: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) Would the former mayor of Chicago, who was arrested for murder, then set free, then caught on camera murdering someone count as a celebrity? I mean political figures are typically famous, but I wasn't sure if that really counted.

Thanks!

Sheila (sheilaj) | 1 comments Dawn, I'm not big into werewolves and such and I was wondering if the bird/children hybrids from the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson would count as non-human or would they count as children, or both. This is the book I am thinking about Nevermore

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Sheila wrote: "Dawn, I'm not big into werewolves and such and I was wondering if the bird/children hybrids from the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson would count as non-human or would they count as children,..."

Bird hybrids are at least part non human so that would work. And if they are children you could use it for either.

Non-humans don't have to be paranormal in nature.

You could also use a pet, if they had a role in the story, as a non human.

It can also be an expression, "She looked like an Angel" or "She screamed like a banshee".

Sheila (sheilaj) | 1 comments Thanks Dawn, that will help a lot.

Turtlecollector Dennis Would this count for open space? She is on a boat in the ocean.

Endless expanse sounds like an open space to me.

The cover itself needs to be at least 50% blue.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) Can a parking lot count as an open space?

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) Or can Gulf of Mexico count as an open space?

message 81: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) If it were an empty parking lot I would concider it open.

The gulf would be circumstantial. Mentioning the region itself no, since there are citties along the gulf so the whole thing isn't open. But standing on the beach in the gulf could be an open space.

message 82: by Lina (new)

Lina Dawn, just a quick question. I noticed on your description / first post in this thread, you had "8. Forest A high density of trees."

Does this mean you might also take a reference to a jungle or something in the woods?

So, if a character mentions being on the beach, does the beach count as an open space?

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Jenne wrote: "Dawn the book I want to read says 204 pages on amazon but only 100 something odd on GR. is that ok?"

Usually there isn't that big a difference. What is the book?

message 94: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) Yea it's a pretty big difference, I'll read something else I'm not sure which one is right.

message 95: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) It was Charlie's Bargain by Evangeline Anderson

message 96: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) The difference is format. The paperback is 206. So I would take that as acceptable.
