The Author, DC Pierson, of the book "The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep And Never Had To" response to a Yahoo answers question for a quick summary of his book. Chews student out for being lazy.

Aloha | 919 comments LOL! The internet has broken down boundaries between people of various nations, and broken down the boundary between author/reader, for good or bad. My best friend is from another country because we share intellectual and artistic interests, which I cannot find with the people I see physically. We met via Goodreads.

Ruth (tilltab) Ashworth | 2218 comments When I read that the author 'chews out a student' I thought it was maybe a dickish move, but having read what he said...what a sweetie! Bless, it's certainly a good way to promote his book.

Arianne | 3 comments That should give his book a little boost of popularity. The kid is also probably mortified. I'd be if I were portrayed all over the internet as a slacker! 230 pages? Come on!

Sean O'Hara (seanohara) | 2365 comments That's so lame. This is how you deal with lazy students (and occasional journalists).

Valerie (valeriemae) | 56 comments I thought it was hilarious. It'll teach that boy some discretion. It reminds me of the time I was at a church potluck and I took a bite of something and then told the lady next to me, "Don't bother with that, it's disgusting.". Of course she was the one who made it. Taught me a valuable lesson of watching what I say. This boy seems to have experienced something similar.
I'll give the author kudos for the fact that he's really not that harsh. So overall, well played.
