Here's what I remember, in the beginning a girl found out she was pregnant to her boyfriend, who I believe didn't really want to step up to be the father. Her mother, who she was not very close to was furious. I can't remember her fathers feelings about it, but I know she was closer to him than to her mother.

The mother was not nice to her and I think I remember her mother never allowing her in the 'parlor' in their house.

I'm pretty sure both her mother and her father died. She befriended a brother of one of her friends.

Also I THINK I remember that the girl buried her father in their back yard...

I know it's not much to go off of, but it's been driving me crazy! Any help would be appreciated!
