Great Katie and Vickie! I'll make us a BR forum so we can chat and geek out on the book (hopefully)! :D

I'm going to be reading
Widow's Point with Latasha over the next couple of days if anyone wants to join I'll set up a thread. It's a short ghost story novella, hopefully perfect for Halloween.
Catherine Cavendish said this today on her FB page- ..And on to start the second draft of my new novel.
What do you get when you add ghosts, a haunted mansion in rural England, a 1960s folk/rock celebrity who died in questionable circumstances and a group of weekend house guests - none of whom are entirely who they appear to be?
Answer: The After-death of Charmian Rand. Of course!

SO I GUESS I'M LISTENING TO Wylding Hall AGAIN IF ANYONE WANTS TO JOIN ME.

I'm in! I'll drop everything for another re-read of that one! When are you starting?

When you were describing this, I was thinking, "Wait? Isn't this Wylding Hall?!" LOL!
Thanks for the heads up on this one. I'll have to add it to my TBR.
So, does Cavendish’s new book sound similar to Wylding Hall? I’m dying to read it but have an overcrowded November ... ugh! I love Elizabeth Hand.
Latasha wrote: "Yeah I thought it did too Lisa."OK - I haven't read WH yet and was just trying to figure out the comments :)
Lisa wrote: "So, does Cavendish’s new book sound similar to Wylding Hall? I’m dying to read it but have an overcrowded November ... ugh! I love Elizabeth Hand."Sounds almost like it from Latasha's description! LOL
WH is awesome. If you read it Lisa, I hope you enjoy!
Hi all! Would anyone be interested in reading Crossroads?
I was thinking of beginning it around December 1st. It is only a 110-pg novella, so figured would have it finished by December 15th, for anyone that wanted to read along? (I think it is about $6 or so on Kindle)
Anyone interested? 😁
Cool- Glad to see so many folks interested. I will make a thread now. Anyone else that wants to join us, please do!
Has anyone in the group read House of Leaves? I’ve heard so much about it, and it sounds like the sort of read that you need moral support during :) Would anyone like to read this one in the future, maybe January? Or whenever?

I'd definitely be up for a BR but won't be able to acquire it any time soon so January sounds good to me!

I think Frances was looking for some buddies earlier in the fall so she might be up for it as well.
I've been sitting on The Weird: A Compendium of Strange and Dark Stories
since...well shortly after it came out and was thinking of trying to do a story(or two depending on length) a week starting in January. Thought I'd see if anyone else was interested.
Hi everyone - discussion link for House of Leaves in January!https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Hi everyone! Anyone interested in reading Wylding Hall, by Elizabeth Hand? I missed the BR that happened last winter, but I'm really interested in the book. Any takers?
Lisa wrote: "Hi everyone! Anyone interested in reading Wylding Hall, by Elizabeth Hand? I missed the BR that happened last winter, but I'm really interested in the book. Any takers?"Yep, I missed it too, I could do next week if that suits?
What would you guys think of starting on May 9th? I'm also swamped at work and things clear up a bit for me after next week.
May 9th works for me. Don’t worry Kimberly, I was gonna let you know about it lol. I guess I should just buy this book by now. I always borrow it from the library. I think this will be my 3rd or 4th reading of it.

Really, Kimberly? That good?!"
LOL! I ended up finding a hardcover of it after the third read. It's one of those that makes me "discover" new things every time I read it.
@Latasha: You and I are on the same page with this one! The folklore is amazing!!

I'm like Latasha and Kimberly with this one. I loved this book!I hope you enjoy Lisa when you guys do a BR for it.
Lisa wrote: "The Kindle version of Wylding Hall is also free right now with Amazon Prime!"Woohoo! That's awesome on the free version.
I really want to read some more of Elizabeth Hand's books. If any of you are up for another BR with her, I'll fit it in, some way some how. hahaha
I've only read Wylding Hall and just loved it!
Latasha wrote: "No, I have some of her other books but I still haven’t read them."Tosh, let me know if you're ever up for a BR on some more of her books. I want to read some more stuff by her.
I haven't heard of Cass Neary, but I have heard of Black Light, and have
, and a collection called
that I haven't read yet.
