Well, maybe like 5. I'd read it if u want. I already started it and it seems interesting. I like the idea of vampires.

I LOVED Blindsight and I had no idea there was a sequel out now. Peter Watts is a fantastic author, I read his whole Rifters Trilogy in total awe.

Looks like at least a few folks are interested in a buddy read of Kin - should I create a thread? I'm not sure what the protocol is (or if there is one :-).
Schedule is very tight right now but I may try to squeeze Blindsight in between. We'll see how things shake out.
I went ahead and created a buddy read thread for Kin since there seemed to be some interest, so feel free to join if you're up for it - I've just started:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Would anyone be interested in reading The Handmaid's Tale in April? It ranked as one of the scariest reads of all time.
Katie is Handmaid's Tale good? Is there any chance you could lend it to me? Btw, long time no see (type) - ;) Hope you've been doing well?
And Addy, hi as well, I totally didn't figure it was you...just by your name finally :) I can see I've been absent too long from this great community! Hope you're good too :)

So I've decided to complete the following daunting task - reread (and in some cases read for the first time) all of Stephen King's work in chronological order. It will be one book a month for obviously many months. This will allow me to read plenty of other stuff, as well, and not get burned out. Now I'm not asking for anyone to do the whole challenge with me (although you are more than welcome), I'd like to break each book into a buddy read. So, with that being said, is anyone interested in reading Carrie as a buddy read?

I actually have a Stephen King challenge im doing in another group so this is definitely down my alley. Im in for Carrie. Just gotta finish night shift:)
I'm totally in for Carrie and the whole challenge. Sounds like an awesome idea. I would like to see how King's style compares with other reads in the month. I've only read Carrie, Misery, Bag of Bones, from a Buick 8, bullet, Needful Things, and the Shining 1 and 2. Can't believe Carrie almost didn't get published. I don't believe he's the only horror writer worth reading, but I haven't disliked anything I have read so far. I might if I read everything, but that's ok. I can still learn from that. :)

No problem. The more the merrier. I already set up a link for Carrie. Cant wait to jump into this challenge.
I'd be up for joining you for some of Stephen King's books. I should've be getting the audiobook of It anytime now. I've been on the waiting list at the library forever!!! Any day now... Just let me know what book it is for the month. I haven't read many King books so chances are it will be a first read for me.
Hi, I'm looking for a novel in which the mirror is evil & anyone trays to clean it dies mysteriously as sometimes the mirror falls on him or other way. the mirror can be cleaned only by human blood & it gains power.
its said the story is try & this mirror is now kept in basement of Her Majesties palace, London.
Carrie was a lot of fun. Next up for the Stephen King challenge is Salem's Lot. We'll be reading it from 4/15 to 5/15. Who's in?
All my old King's are at my Mom's house. Next time I go up I will pick them up and join in this King from the beginning challange
My friend Kimberly and I are planning to do a Buddy Read of Stephen Gregory's The Waking That Kills starting next week. I know some of you guys have recently read Wakening the Crow and/or The Cormorant and/or Plague of Gulls, so I thought some of you might be interested?

/ K.R. Griffiths. If there's any interest, I was hoping to start around the beginning of May!
Anyone want to start a JN Williamson novel. I've got a bunch I've slowly purchased. I've got Premonition, Offspring, Brotherkind, and Playmates.
Yeah, every time I visit this bookstore, I buy at least one JN novel. There are still a few left, but if no one buys them I'll prob end up purchasing them....lol. I kinda want to see if I like this author.
I'd be interested in reading either Offspring or Playmates with you towards the end of the month
I've been wanting to re-read Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
I found 3 of them super cheap at a used bookstore and got them. they scared me to death when I was young- preteen! they aren't very long and should be a lot of fun! anyone want to buddy read? in the daytime?
I go to thrift shops and i look for these because I loved them as a kid too and hope to read them to my boys when they get a little older. I haven't read them in a long time.
