My wife wants to go to the Laurel K. Hamilton Q&A. I met Laurel a long time ago at World Fantasy Con, so I'm looking forward to going as well.

Wendy and Richard Pini, creators of Elfquest, will be there. I have an almost complete run of the original black and white issues, want to see them. Also want to see Mercedes Lackey. We met through Holly Lisle, and the three of us once served together on a panel at Balticon on child abuse in sf and fantasy.

Going to be a fun event. Just found out this am that my daughter and son-in-law are also going. John is president of a company he helped found and is a co-owner of, and they're branching out into the kind of stuff you see on Face Off, so they're going to attend some related workshops and events.

That sounds really nice. A family affair. Laurel used to be one of my faves. I haven't read her last 3 books yet as they've gone off the rails a bit.

Nikki, thought I would pass along that my wife and I sat in on two panels which included Ms. Sherrilyn Kenyon, and we both agreed that -- despite her being somewhat ill -- she was the coolest of the panel guests.
