I read SNOW CRASH a couple years ago. I am due up for a Stephenson read though. I'm not very good at group reads either.
We'll see. For now I'm having the hardest time finding a copy in my library. Probably a new thread would make sense, and we can keep this one for new buddy read suggestions.
I have THE OVERTON WINDOW and was planning on reading it soon, with the upcoming election and all, it seemed like an appropriate time.
I'd like to buddy-read Anthem next. We already have a thread for it. Please post here or in Anthem thread if you're interested. Thanks!
Sorry guys, I just got my power back after a full week of moving between family members. How about Anthem read in December?
I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a buddy read of
probably a woman I can not picture a man reading this. It is a fictional romance/family-saga book. I don't understand the political view in the book. I don't know if it is just about equal rights for everyone or socialist views of wanting the government to take from the rich and give to the poor. The author Belva Plain wrote an inside note saying "To the garden, Earth, man's only home, and to all those who would save it from the vicious tyrannies of fascism and communism". When I read that I thought of Ayn Rand.
