(view spoiler)[Upon learning that Galen was wholly responsible for Fitz's failure to learn the Skill, why did he not immediately tell Burrich what had happened in order to mend their relationship? (hide spoiler)]

I dont think it would have done anything. Galen didnt force Fitz to use the Wit and thats the part that Burrich finds disgusting.

There has to be a story there! Why does it upset him so much? I just learned about Galen's treachery, though I had figured that it had something to do with with Galen's own failings rath then Fitz.

I don't really know what you mean. Burrich didn't care about Fitz failing with the skill but his use of the wit.

It's been a bit since I read it and I haven't reread it for this month, but wasn't Burrich ticked because he felt like Fitz was focusing more on the Wit and sort of choosing it over the Skill and not trying, when Burrich hoped he'd get involved with Skill and leave Wit behind? So that would be why he'd be upset about a failure with Skill.
