I have been grabbing them as they are released but the last several haven't been as strong for me, so I will probably wait to get it from the library and buy it when it comes out in paperback. Retirement budget does have some impact on that decision.

Hi, I was really interested in hearing how everyone reads the new books. I get them from Audible, and I usually make sure I save a credit just for that when I realize a new In Death is coming out. But I find that sometimes I read them immediately, and sometimes I wait awhile and almost savor them. There are a couple of authors that cause me to do this. I think sometimes, I don't want to read them too fast because then it's over and I have to wait 6 months for the next one. So, how many of you are thinking, This lady needs to get a life ? LOL

I do the same. I prefer audios with Robb, don't know why, anyway I will wait to get it at the library when it first comes out, and then I wait for the book to be discounted from the audio store I order it from. It might be a year or two or more but eventually those audio's that were $31 to start are down to $10. If it doesn't discount I just keep rerenting it from the library.

I'll get the ebook version to read first then wait for the paperback version to come out and buy. I tend to read the new releases really fast so yea waiting 6 months is REALLY LONG. Though that's when you can re-read all the favorite books/scenes over and over again. :)

I too prefer audiobooks. I get mine from audible.com fro $22.95 for 2 credits and buy the ones I really have to listen to right away. Pretty much any audiobook costs you 11.45 or so, regardless of the list price. So i use my credits on books that are 14.95+
