Hours later, Laya sat down in the middle of the floor. "Finally done..."

She sat down next to her. "And they are all sleeping."

Laya sighed and lay down. "Now, what were ya talkin' 'bout eairlia?"

"The war, I think. I can't remember too well. Too much work."

"Mmm... I think I'ma gonna go ta bed, an' someun betta be dyin' or we gettin' attacked if I get waked up..." Laya got up and went drowsily to her tent.

"Bye." Anne whispered long after Laya left. She got up, made sure all the soldiers were okay. And walked out.

Laya lay down on her cot and went to sleep.

Anne fell asleep. Thankful for the night's rest.

The next morning, Laya dredged herself awake and got dressed. She went to the infirmary to make sure everyone was OK.

Anne woke up, worried. She had slept in. She quickly dressed and made her way out, hoping no one would notice her lateness.

Everyone was still asleep and breathing... Good... She looked around and saw that Anne wasn't there yet. Ah, well. It had been a long day for everyone.

She hurried through the tent flaps. Laya was already there. Darn.

"Mornin' Miss Green. Sleep well?" She asked kindly.

Anne blushed. "Yes sir." She said just incase the soldiers were listening.

"They all sleepin'. Miss Green, I been wonderin' sometin'. Why you blush so easy 'round me?"

Anne stopped and thought of something to say. She wasn't blushing now, her whole race was red. Her words were fumbled. "I... I um... I blush easily." Stupid excuse, she knew, but she couldn't think of anything else.

Laya raised an eyebrow. "I ain't seen ya blush 'cept when ya with me. But alright."

Anne was about to reply when she heard hooves. "Looks like it's our new recruit." she said in a huff.

Laya got up and went to greet him, as was proper.

Anne knew she shouldn't follow, but she did. She was very curious.

Laya went into the tent and froze. She looked outside the tent and didn't see anyone and turned back to her. "So ya went and did the same as me, eh, Miss Marcie? Er... Mr. Gibson."

"I was jus'a wonderin' why yer here's all." She put up her hands innocently.

Laya grinned. "I didn't see no person out there... bu' tha' don' mean nothin', I guess." She shrugged. "Well, then, Mr. Gibson, wish ya the besta luck."

Laya tipped her hat in farewell and left.

Anne ran back to the tent once she heard a solider moan.

Laya got back to the tent and saw Anne over a soldier. "How much ya hear, Miss Green?" She asked.

Laya heard a noise outside the tent. "Wait..." She poked her head outside and raised her eyebrow. "Mr. Gibson, care to explain?"

Laya chuckled and motioned for her to come in. "Yer a bad lia.."

Laya heard her trying to hide her accent. She raised her eyebrow. "The men 'ere don' mind the accent. They did I wouldn' be 'ere, would I?"

Anne finished with the soldier. She smiled at Marcie. "I though you were gonna leave, Marcie."

Anne immediately frowned. "Are you implying that I'm fond of a woman?" Her tone hushed and serious.

Elizebeth walked out of the tent and went to get her stuff.

Anne plopped down on the floor. "She's back..." She said it more to herself than to Laya.

Laya waved to Marcie and turned to Anne. "Ya, she back, Miss Green."

Elizebeth approched Layasorry i forgote your fake name) " sir when do you want me to leave?"

Laya looked at Elizebeth. "Oh, well, when ya ready."

"ok thank you" Elizebeth said quietly, that feeling you get when your REALLY NERVOUS,yea, she just got it((LOL)) she swiftly walked away.some of thew guys that were her friends waved her a sympathetic((sorry misspelled)) wave then a playful wink .. That atleast made her smile
