I'm new to this group. I joined because I want to read more Australian books. This really is a great group to find others' opinions on new and old books. I'm mostly interested in SFF, but in no way exclusively.
Anyway, I've been waiting patiently and finally the Australia Book Industries Awards just announced their Longlists.

Still waiting for Ditmar and Aurealis Awards to make an announcement.
Enjoy the group GR - there are lots of different threads and lots of different Australian authors to read.

That’s a good one Patty, I thoroughly enjoyed it and gave it 4⭐️s👌

Loved your review, Julie, and added it to my list!

I'll be surprised if this one doesn't win some more awards. Auē, by Becky Manawatu is centred around a contemporary Maori family. Loved it!
