What did you make of Christopher's secret?

I am still perplexed by his secret. I think because of his religous background and the fact that he was assulted it conflicted his emotions. I believe he was at first forced. He admitted in the book that he began to like it.

She would probably be an author I'd want to eat dinner with so I could pick her brain and figure out just what exactly she thinks happened to Christopher.
I don't think he knows for sure that he's gay. People can get aroused in non-consensual sex, but since he was brought up in such a strictly Christian home, he feels really confused.

Was I the only one that was caught off guard by his secret. Not that he was gay, but the fact that he was sexually assaulted by Todd in order to get the drug of his choice?
I think that compounded the shame he felt for being gay, when his first sexual experience was in fact violent. I'm not surprised he thought being gay was wrong after such an ordeal.
Christopher's secret to me was the worst, because he was so confused about his sexuality and to add rape to the mix and his confusion about his sexuality, it just made me want to hug the poor kid.
No wonder he thought being gay was a bad thing.
What do you guys think about Christopher and the secret he kept? Do you believe him or do you think he said Todd forced him to have sex in order to deal with the fact that he was in fact gay?
I think either interpretation works, but I'm curious to see what you guys think.
