Right Where I Belong
question
Too intimate?

So I saw this book on Goodreads and read the description: I can deduce from all the positive reviews and the description itself that this is probably a good book.
However, I'm afraid to start reading a romance from an author I've never read before...I've done that a couple of times in the past, and almost every time I regret it. They either bore me to death, or they get way too intimate in the romance area. So what do you think? I'm not talking about a passionate kiss, okay? I'm talking sex--does she get into that AT ALL?
Also, what about the Christian reference? Is this one of those along the fence writers who says she's Christian, but hardly ever mentions Christ?

I haven't read this one but I read her first two so I'm pretty sure I can answer your questions!
First off I really enjoyed the first two, they were light easy reads.
Sex? Not at all! Her books are VERY clean-I don't think there was even kissing but if there was it was quite minimal.
Christian? Yes all of the books are retold Bible stories and God and growing in Christ is a large part of the stories!
Hope this helps!

no, not too intimate -- I have a young tween daughter and would let her read this when she's a little older. It's a romance, a clean one, not a sexual relationship.
Readgalore89 -- Ashlee just asked about the physical relationship and faith issues. Not sure why you think the books were embarassing and atrocious. You're certainly entitled to your opinion but since you tried to read 2 of them, one wonders why you even bother commenting on this discussion.
Still, you're entitled to your opinion. I happen to disagree.

CLEAN! I was so pleased that I found this book. I am a teenager and don't like the sexual books. They make me uncomfortable. She is an amazing author. I suggest reading First Date as well. That one is also clean. Amazing! This is my favorite by her.
I don't read books that have sex in them and you are definitely safe in this choice. As to the Christian aspect of it this is why she has stayed with her step-mom rather than her parents because her step-mom introduced her to Christ and she wants to grow this part of her life.
These are well written entertaining books that share and encourage a Christian walk. Definitely would recommend this if you want clean Christian fiction.

As everyone else has said, the book is definitely clean. I don't even think there was kissing in the book.
The Christian reference is a big part of the book. The main character goes to live with her step-mother that introduced her to Christ and the whole story is a modern retelling of Ruth from the Bible.

Here's a tip for future book! If the book says '14 and over' (for Hardbacks its often on the inside of the cover slip and for almost all books its above the bar code on the back) that is likely a red flag for sexual content, teen drugs, crime, etc. I hope this helps for future reference!

Her books are clean, but also atrocious and embarassing. After having read (trying to read) two of her books, I would recommend against buying it. Ever. Like, ever, ever. Ever.
