I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't watched Avatar: The Last Airbender, but going off the HP character's, I'm definitely going to have to go with Bellatrix/Azula. Bellatrix is already an extremely talented witch who just happens to be a cold-blooded murderer. She can kill without anyone problem, which would definitely help in her favour. Hagrid on the other hand, wouldn't hurt a fly, so therefore would be a pretty bad person to have on your team.

Hagrid would not be willing to kill someone, and I don't think Katara would either unless she had a really good reason to. I have to say Azula and Bellatrix aswell. They are both willing to kill anyone in their way, and they are both experienced fighters.

I don't know much about Avatar: The Last Airbender, but from what people have said, I'm leaning more towards Azula and Bellatrix... Even by Harry Potter standards I would have gone to that team. On one side there's Hagrid, the lovable half-giant who appears mean but is really nice and he has an obsession wiht monsters.
On the other side, there's Bellatrix, crazy lady who likes to kill people and mock them and who escaped a wizarding prison... It's kinda unanimous...
Katara would have to go it alone because Hagrid would be trying to get collars on the mutts. :P

And then the Game Makers would all be like O.O What is this! ANd then they would all die of confusion, leaving all the people to escape!

But, because Azula (when she's remotely sane and Katara isn't desperate to protect Zuko) is a slightly better bender than Katara, and Bellatrix is definately a better dueler than Hagrid, I'm thinking team Bazooka (see what i did there? ;P) is coming out on top.

Bellatrix and Azula...that is one deadly match. Hagrid and Katara probably would not stand a chance unless Katara used Blood Bending. Interesting match up!!!!

i've read harry potter and seen the avatar series. i just think that hagrid is a weak link.. yeah he might know alot about plants and stuff so that would be good. I forgot that katara knows bloodbending. but she can only do that on a full moon, and since the moon is only full once a month.. i don't think that bloodbending would matter much in the games.
and yes, katara did win once from azula, but azula was crazy at that moment (seriously crazy) and katara had luck with the chains and all that.
i think azula and bellatrix would def win, because even without wands (so no umbrella for hagrid) they would still win..

yeah.. but how good does she knows hagrid? azula can shoot her lightning and nobody could defend themselves against it. you are right if katara was lucky she could be able to defeat azula. but she has hagrid on her side. and don't forget.. the arena is not about luck, but about skill. and i am sorry but azula is just a slightly bit better when i comes to that. maybe if this was in the 75th arena, she would be able to beat them.. but who knows?
Yeah, but she wouldn't be allowed to bring her waterbottle. though she would be able to draw water from the trees. maybe azula just fires a lightning from her pedestal (is that how you write it??) and cook everyone

If we want to get REALLY specific, the Games happen in the summer, which would mean that Azula would have an added advantage, since the source of her bending is closer to the Earth. Also, have we mentioned that if Peeta's loudness was a liability, Hagrid would be even worse. After all, his feet are frequently compared to baby dolphins...and Azula could just burn down the whole forest after the bloodbath.

ah, I like this one.Well Hagrid can be really destructive at times when he needs to be. And well Katara can really kick butt, so they'd be a good team.
Azula and Bellatrix would be really super hard to beat. With electric and magic on their sides.

I know right! Sadly, my brother prefers looking up facts about stories/shows than actually watching them -__-Ooh, and I liked Toph and Sokka. And Katara and Aang. And everyone else except for the evil scary people... XD I should probably narrow that down... But I think I liked Sokka the most because he really changed over the series. Plus he's funny :P
And I really am not happy with the movie. I'm glad I waited to watch it after seeing the series because I might not have continued...

I've been looking for the graphic novels that are between the Last Airbender series and Legend of Korra.I too love ALL the characters, even the evil ones (well maybe not Ozai, and a few others but that's because they honestly had no redeeming qualities...) I agree with Azula being awesome. Creepy, but awesome XD
My favourite episode was Tales of Ba Sing Se (2nd session). I loved how we got to see more of the characters (to this day the only time I have ever cried during a show was this episode... But I laughed too)
Korra is indeed awesome! My only problem so far with that series is I started watching it part way through, so at first I was attached to Asami with Mako, but now after seeing the beginning I've started to lean towards Korra/Mako -.- (EDIT: although I realize that Asami and Mako are over... I still feel sad for Asami...)Ozai creeps me out, to be honest. Zhao was funny at times I suppose. I liked Azula's character because we actually got to know her for a bit. (I liked how she started going insane. It showed depth in her character).
I have to agree with the awesomeness of those episodes XD I also liked The Headband. And Bitter Work (Foo Foo Cuddlypoops for the win XD)
I cried because 1: Iroh's son-thing was just so SAD! 2: Momo's short. I felt so bad... Oh, I also half-cried during the Appa-centric episode...
Mako was getting annoying... I mean, he's an awesome dude, but I kinda feel bad for Asami because she was roped into this through Mako, and now he just sorta left her for Korra... Not that Korra/Mako is horrible ;)True... Ozai was a good villian, as was Zhao and Azula. I have to admit I like Ty Lee and Mai better as good guys...
XD the plot for Bitter Work was Aang was trying to learn earthbending, but he was having difficulties. Basically it's about Aang getting over whatever block he had with Earth bending. And he stood his ground against a full-grown sabertooth moose lion.
And for the entire episode, Sokka was stuck in a hole from trying to catch/kill Foo Foo Cuddlypoops XD

Avatar is my favorite cartoon I know lol and Harry potter is my favorite movie so I honestly can't choose because they are both awesome.
