Ok I can so answer Part II right now from the list of books.I LOVE Jace from City of Ashes. He has that tough boy routine down good until Clary breaks down his defensive walls. He may be tough and his past has scared him but he slowly lets her in and opens up to her.He shows moments of vulnerability. He is also passionate, loyal, and witty. He is a complicated character which shows the author's ability to write a character which has multi-layers to his personality.I connect with him because like me he uses sarcasm to hide his true feelings,it is his self defense mechanism and his way of interacting with people.
I only read the first book, but I really liked Isabelle. She exuded confidence and didn't crap from anyone. And I think Magnus will be a favorite too once I read more about him. =) He wasn't in City of Bones that much, but I heard he will be in the next books in the series.
I just read City of Bones and now Im starting on City of Ashes, I guess the character Im most interested in learning more about would be Jace and I want to know more about the minor characters like all of the members of the Circle, I guess however that means so far Jace is my favorite character out of all these books :)
I have to say my favourite character is Magnus Bane from City of Ashes. I love how almost everything that comes out of his mouth is hilarious. It's also great how he dresses the way he wants, acts the way he wants and is entirely unapologetic about it. He just gets better as the series continues. You can't help but want to be his friend!
My favorite character is Simon from City of Ashes. I love that he tries to make himself known no matter who is there. He is so adorable, sometimes confident, and sometimes not. I think he is the natural one there. Team SIMON!!!
