I was thinking something along the lines of:

Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines by Nic Sheff

1984 by George Orwell

Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

Winter Girls by Laurie Halse Anderson (Im definitely getting this on my next trip to the library)

Any more ideas?

Michael Stephenson | 3 comments I think I actually have two books that I have written that would fit for you.
The first, A Negotiation of Wounds (Negotiation Series, #1, is similar to Fifty Shades of Grey and deals with controversial issues such as BDSM and the twisted and deceptive practices carried out during a divorce. Don't know if you ever noticed it, but most divorce books aren't fiction and those that are generally are comedic. This ain't that.

The second book is The Provocateur, which is similar to 1984. It deals with conspiracy of the modern day and what is happening right now and why it is happening. Dare to freak yourself out a bit with that one as most people find it repulsive and true.
