Thank you for keeping them crossed for such a long time, that must have been uncomfortable,:) but it worked!
Thanks for the squirrel Cleon, I love his hairdo :)

LOL!

Those snowmen! I dread to think what was going on.

LOL! Alrighty then. They can eat my pumpkins and even the paint off my deck, but when they start stealing my hair care products, it's time to load the .22
;-)

When I showed hubby the snowman photos (that were almost forgotten already) I immediately spotted the certain kind of sparkle in his eyes. It means that he's probably making crazy plans for new, even weirder snowmen as we speak... ;)

Heheh, and they waste no time in doing exactly that. ;)

Anatomically correct snowmen! (Bonus points if you remember which movie that comes from.)

:D :D :D
Cleon, that photo is too cute and funny — at least to someone who doesn't have squirrels regularly raiding paint, pumpkins, and hair care products in her neck of the woods!

I don't have the finest idea... can we get more clues? ;)

A chick flick from the 90s. Actually, I may have to raid my DVD collection because I'm having trouble remembering which chick flick, though I've narrowed it down to 2. LOL

I would have guessed some Jim Carrey movie... do NOT tell the right answer yet (and somebody help me — any fans of mystery around?!). *grin*

I'm not absolutely positive, but I think there was more than one anatomically correct snowman wisecrack in 90s movies. I'm just too lazy to look at the other movie, LOL.
So...there could be more than one right answer! (Ugh.)

I was browsing through our holiday photos from last summer and somehow ended up playing with Snapseed and Photoshop... You guys recognize the list of words in this picture?

Yep. It's (view spoiler) ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

It's beautiful Johanna!

Beautiful! One of my favorite books by Josh.
Thank you all!
I loved how Josh used the list of the "most beautiful words" as Swift's mantra in CUTYS. I hadn't heard about Wilfred J. Funk's list before, but I had done such lists of beautiful words with my students before. And years ago I wrote my master's thesis on how children experience beauty around them and how that experience can be used to empower them. I had children taking photographs, making paintings, writing stories and making lists of words that they find beautiful. I was very impressed how sensitive and profound children from 10 to 12 years of age were while analysing their own life and surroundings.
Anyhoo, I enjoy making lists like this for myself too — I'm sure many of you do it as well. :)

That sounds like a stress-reducing exercise for adults as well.
I think the major reason I got into doing book trailers for a time was I found it so relaxing to match art and music with story concepts. I don't know that it was an effective sales tool, but it was one of the most personally satisfying efforts.

So beautiful, what's an interesting perspective!
OMG... just had a really good laugh over those snowmen and squirrels! Last summer I sat outside in the park across the street reading a book and eating roasted almonds. Well, there was a curious squirrel who could smell the nuts and clearly wanted to eat them. I've never had a squirrel get so close to me. Must have been about a foot or two away. I tossed him some nuts and he would find them, eat 'em up and come back for more! Sooo cute.
Even when I lived in the suburbs and had even more squirrels and pumpkins out every Halloween, they never touched them.
Such great pics guys!
And I love that list of beautiful words. It definitely goes really well with the picture too. Thanks for posting!

Last time it was much worse, it was half a squirrel. My neighbour saw me sitting on the wooden stairs in front of the house as I was meditating on how to get rid of it and offered to do it for me. I was grateful.
BTW these squirrels absolutely don't go near houses/people, but the cat goes near their trees.

I know. I was very upset the first time it happened. And I found strange the fact that I was more affected by the death of a squirrell than by the death of a small bird: discrimination because of the cuteness factor? Still, I cannot be upset with the cat which just follow her nature of hunter.
Anyway your comment reminded me I really had to move my ass. Now I removed the tail, and I managed to keep my breakfast in place. So, thank you!

The pleasure was mine... Although it's lovely to know that you guys liked it too. Sharing it made the joy even bigger for me, because it's always wonderful to know that someone else sees things the same way. :)

I totally agree and understand what he means by saying that a thing like that can be extremely relaxing and satisfying experience. ETA: Especially when it's done just for fun and pleasure with no necessity or pressure or expectations of any kind. Last few weeks have made me realize that I personally have been doing things just for fun and pleasure way too seldom lately.

Poor squirrel. :(

But you have to admit the cat is very clever and doing his (or hers) outmost to feed the household ....;)

Hehehe, nothing goes to waste. :)

In fact I even suppose that some of her preys are presents for me. Still, I don't appreciate them.
I forgot to tell you how I get rid of birds' corpses. As I collect the corpse I tell myself (loud, not only in my head) ''it's only a dead bird'' over and over, like a mantra. It works somehow.

Oh my God. He's a cute one. And so innocent looking... even though he obviously has been stealing somebody's hairstyling products. ;)
