Heather Emily (princessheather) | 12 comments So I've already asked for recommendations in this group and they were WONDERFUL, so here I am again. I'm in love with those books where two people are together for a bargain, or because they're forced to & they hate each other at first & they tell each other they're not going to fall in love. Whether it be a business arrangement, etc. but of course, they end up falling in love & actually liking each other! SUPER cliche, but I love those kind of books. You guys get the gist right?
I love contemporary romance, adult is fine as well, young adult, just anything! I'll even read some urban fantasy / paranormal romance if it follows this theme.
Thanks a BUNCH!

So they have to be together when the book starts? It can't be, say, a governess who hates her employer but then slowly can't resist him.

Snail in Danger (Sid) Nicolaides (upsight) | 289 comments The Deception of the Emerald Ring and The Seduction of the Crimson Rose

These are books 3 and 4 in a series but you can probably manage without having 1 and 2.

Oh yeah, Howls keeps saying that Sophie is a nosy old woman, and Sophie thinks Howl is too vain for his own good. :D

Natalie | 149 comments I'm enjoying The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and it seems to fit your criteria well.

I think The Night Circus's set-up is more similar to that of Romeo and Juliet rather than Elizabeth Bennett and Darcy.

Victoria Anduray (vicky_the_reader) | 4 comments Well Ana and the French kiss is one of my favorites. Its not daring and mystical but its very comical and sweet I read it twice.

I haven't read that yet but it's in my to-read list. if it's been that good for you, then i might have to read it soon :D

Kagama-the Literaturevixen | 599 comments Kiss an Angel Hero doesnt like heroine at first...mainly because her father blackmailed him into marry her. Oh and the hero is a circus performer and the heroine is naive and kindhearted. It helps if you suspend disbelief while reading this one. Like it anyways :)

Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side Hero and heroine were betrothed as children. Love the snarky hero and the stubborn heroine :)
Oh and yes,theyre vampires.

The Dark Queen Historical
The heroine(who is a witch) lives on an island with her two sisters. Hero keeps insisting they should marry..this of course makes her resent him.

Thats the ones I could think of at the top of my head. :)

Emmy (emmy205) | 99 comments If you're okay with manga/graphic novels, you might enjoy Stepping on Roses, Vol. 1. The main character marries for money to support her starving family, but she's in love with a man she had met only once. Her new husband's one condition for the marriage is that she is not allowed to fall in love with him for any reason, and he won't fall in love with her. To make matters more complicated, the mystery man she was already in love with turns out to be her husband's best friend!
