Yeah, that was a real shame. It would have been cool to read about them living together, or at least cooler than hearing about the Dursleys at the start of every book!

Tears slid down from my eyes when Dumbledore died. He died a tragic death. Then a load of other awesome characters died, and I'm just like, what the heck, JK Rolling??!! I get its war and all, but, seriously!! Anyway, Dumbledore's death was very touching to me. :*-(
I was also very emotional when Harry used the stone thing that was part of the Deathly Hollows (Forgive me, but the stone's name slips my mind) and it brought his parent's ghost with Sirius, it was very... sad, I want to say. Then they were talking what it was like dying, and it was just... tear worthy. I could've gone with out the death conversation.

It's called the Resurrection Stone. :) You're right that was a really emotional scene. But then a lot of the scenes in the later books are emotional.
Daisy, thanks for the reminder!! But I thought that scene was in the last book, so how could "a lot of scenes in the later books" be emotional too?? WAS THERE ANOTHER SERIES AFTER IT AND NO ONE TOLD ME?!?!

Nonononono, that's not what I meant, sorry to mislead you! I meant the later book in the HP series, you know, Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows. I realize now it didn't really make sense . . . sorry about that!
Oh! Ok, thats alright. I almost had a heart attack. But how awesome would it be if she did write a second series????!!! It could be like their kids having an adventure!!

nicole wrote: "The deaths of Fred, Snape, Dumbledore, Tonks, Lupin and Sirius (especially Sirius) were so sad, but I thought the worst was that very last scene in the Deathly Hallows when Harry says goodbye to hi..."
Agreed.
Agreed.
Gabriela wrote: "When Sirius died, I was reading in the bus and started crying."
LOL!! The bus!!! Hehehehe!! Don't worry, I got emotional too, but I was at home.

lol! I think there's quite a lot of fanfictions about their kids . . . you could give them a try.
Fanfictions? I've heard of that but I've never known what it meant

Also, one of the most unjustified unions of death that I found in the series was the death of Remus and Tonks. I was devastated by the loss of Fred and Dobby, but Remus and Tonks needn't both have died for the cause. I almost felt an impotent wrath and anger towards the fate they were dealt and maybe I grudged Tonks her decision to go into battle when she was a new mother.
I was also the most touched in Half Blood Prince when Dumbledore is being supported by Harry in the thrashing waters, and Dumbledore says to Harry, "I am not worried, I am with you." It's damn near my favorite quote of the whole series.
Say we go backwards here, because another one of the most emotional scenes for me was when Harry went berserk at the end of Order of the Phoenix. The lack of support he felt after the death of Cedric and the events of the graveyard changed him. He felt he was lacking support and it was a dark year for him in which we suffered alongside him. I thought the scene following Sirius's death was an emotionally packing punch for the end of the book and the way he raged at Dumbledore was so dark, so befitting the situation. Dumbledore was right, Harry bled with how much he cared about the tragedy.

It means when fans of the series have written a sequel or prequel or the series from somebody else's point of view or something like that. For example there's some about James' (Harry's son) adventures at Hogwarts and one about what happened at Hogwarts while Harry, Ron and Hermione were away looking for the hocruxes from Neville's point of view and stuff like that.
I don't think fanfictions are approved by the author and so aren't always entirely accurate but they can be pretty cool. Hope this helped. :)

Or when Harry was back at the Dursleys all alone and thinking about his parents.
In the films though- omg all the tears were for the mirror of erised

I was kind of expecting lots of people to die- but with Lupin and Tonks i really didn't see it coming at all! I cried for hours

Wow can't believe this thread was brought back after 2 years lol.
Anyway, I think my feels about Tonks and Remus were more akin to shock, horror and then bitter sadness. I sobbed for sure, but I think it's the only time I was really resentful about a death in the series.

I was really upset when Sirius died, but mainly from the fact that Harry had lost his chance at a real family than for Sirius.
When Dumbledore died I was literally heart broken, I hated Snape in that moment and I felt really sorry for Malfoy too. The whole scene was really emotional, I was quite young at the time and I actually shouted at the book and cried haha.
Umbridge I could have happily murdered in just about every part she was in, she never failed to make me livid. If I'm remembering correctly I cried at certain parts when she was being awful to Harry, where he had to write I must not tell lies for one.
Snape dying and giving Harry his memories was an unexpected emotional time for me too. His loyalty to Lilly was inspiring, even though he hated James and didn't care much for Harry he wanted him safe for Lilly's sake.

Kreacher's tale about how Regulus was drowned really haunted me. I felt so sorry for this noble character we didn't even know and for Kreacher, who had to live with the secret for so long.
The battle of Howarts wasn't exactly empotional for me either; I was just amazed by how awesome it was.

Omg i feel so much like you in the second part of your comment. My friends never even took a peek at the books so they have no idea about them and when i laugh when they say there* serious * because of sirius they look at me like im crazy so i have to keep the world inside of my head and act like its just a book and all of the characters are just characters. So when I read its Okay i was so happy:)

Book: when dumbledore dies *sobs* and when harry had the talk about the phrophesy after the death of sirius and his all depressed.
My most emotional moment was Doby's death and Lupin and Tonks' death.

Sirius' last words get me every time.
Harry's anguish gets me every time.
Dumbledore crying over Harry's anguish and Sirius' death gets me every time.
And "You care so much you feel as though you will bleed to death with the pain of it," gets me every time.
I just become a sobbing mess every time I read this part of HP + the Order of the Phoenix, and it doesn't matter how many times I've read it.
Also, the epilogue turns me into a blubbering baby every time I read it, ("All was well" is just NEVER going to be okay) so that part gets an honorable mention for sure, but Sirius' death takes the cake.
