Why not introduce yourself here - August 2012
Hi Ruth and Sarah. Author threads are best - you can say what you like in there (as long as you don't insult the management!)
I'm having enough trouble with the 'shake it all abouts' to be honest Gingerlily. Remember the controversy?
Hi. I found this wonderful forum yesterday and posted a KDP Select question which was quickly answered (thank you for that!)My name is Walter Katz, here is my blog .
Good to be among sane people for a change.
Regards,
Walter.
Hi Walter,Sane people?...I think you wanted the forum that's in the room second left down the hallway...no sane people here I'm afraid...but glad you joined us anyway we're a friendly bunch...completely bonkers though...welcome to the house of fun!
Good day to you Walter and welcome to our little hideaway. I'm concerned about your judgement though. Sane?
Dear Ignite, I heard the word "sane" describes a person who behaves rationally. But whether or not this is a rational assumption I don't know. The person who told me that next wondered what it must have felt like.
Hello, I've just joined after finding this group. I've been lurking about on Goodreads for about three years now, writing reviews and being nosey but only recently received a Kindle as a gift. I've been working away a lot so have found it a useful and fun thing to have. I live in the UK, I'm an archaeologist (hence the moniker) and so far I've used my kindle to read a lot of bizarro, classic lit, find new authors and also become one of the 20 gazillion people who downloaded 50 Shades of Grey.
Hi Shovelmonkey. I have a Certificate in Archaeology which I studied for about 15 years ago - at my age though, my knees are too knackered to take much practical interest. Done a fair bit of field walking though.Great to have you with us. The kindle is a wonderful beast!
Hi Shovelmonkey. I was in the local Young Archaeologists club as a kid, but me and shovels don't get on too well these days!
Hello and welcome Shovelmonkey.Stick around and you will get more recommendations, freebies and group reads than you can shake a shovel at! Enjoy.
Ouch, that was my back you just impersonated, Patti.Welcome Shovelmonkey. You'll find plenty of fossils around here, without having to dig too deep.
Hello,Only recently I found Goodreads but I enjoy it a lot now that I am here :). I am still a bit confused and dont always find my way around but that will hopefully change.
I am a german writer and avid reader, mostly of fantasy, chick-lit and mystery novels. I have published books in all three genres in german and have now translated the first part of my fantasy series into english.

I'm Sarah, I post on kindleboards as sarahdalton - or sarahd - I can't remember! But either way my username is not very imaginative.
I've just uploaded my debut novel to Amazon and am in the middle of lots of promotion!
Looking forward to talking to you all.
