I'm pleased you've not lost us!
Yep, Elle!
I'm going to have to look into how you lot can get visas for Azerbaijan.
They're not cheap and you have to have one before they'll let you on the plane.
I think Dave's was $160 US.

Hi lovely!
Are you getting around the group okay? Be sure to shout for help if you need it, k? :)

RJ, you're going nowhere. I like you much too much to ever toss you out. Silly man.

Patti, how does he know about security???
I thought the normals weren't supposed to be able to see them!!!

I've eaten too much cheese and chocolate.
Can I go for a snooze now please Patti?

*tucks a blanket round Mark.*
Looks like an angel when he's asleep, doesn't he? Awwwwww

Bit sweet for my taste ;)
Were you really born in 1912? You're looking remarkably spry for 100.... :-P

I look forward to meeting up with you all.

I don't think Nick was talking about an injection GL.

In the Garden you'll find Ignite and Rosemary making the place pretty (and not just with flowers, wink, wink)
In the Bar you'll find a variety of us, tread carefully and stay away from the punch!
Have a look out the window and see Jud and Sarah walking the dogs (Jud is the one dressed like the little mermaid)
Simon can usually be found in the computer room with Patti not far behind trying to get him to clean up.
Vanessa has her own Naughty Room, definitely worth checking out.
Geoff will be down at the duck pond.
If you are looking for our amazing authors, take the second door on the left and watch as they scrabble for their quills whilst minimising the Goodreads window on their laptops.
If you need me try the kitchen, it is the room with lots of black smoke coming out, don't worry i totally did that on purpose.
We are a fun, crazy and super supportive group, so come in, take your shoes off (we just vacuumed) and make yourselves at home.
Oh and see those stairs leading away in to darkness? that is GL's dungeon, only the bravest souls venture there.

I don't think Nick was talking about an injection GL."
Neither was I. R J said 'Shoot me now' and I went 'BANG!!'

O.O
Oh.

I love fiction that cares about characters AND plot. Although I'm a sucker for beautiful language, I like a story too, dammit. I'm a slow reader because I'm easily trapped by lovely sentences and ideas, and when I love a book I'm reluctant to leave its world behind.
I live in London with my writer husband, and our house is mostly decorated with bookshelves - so much so that different rooms are devoted to different categories, like a shop. My study, where I'm writing this now, is the fiction room - and when I look up from my keyboard I love to see the spines of novels that have been important to me.
When I don't have my nose in a book I'm either running (which is really an excuse to listen to music or books podcasts), or I'm at a dance class (which is really an excuse to fling myself about and not worry about looking daft) or I'm on the back of a horse (can't find an excuse for that, I can't resist a saddle).
The rest of the time I'm a journalist, ghostwriter, editor and writing coach, and I'm also coming out from behind the ghosting curtain with novels of my own.
I've got two books in circulation (books that I can admit to, that is!) One is about writing - Nail Your Novel: Why Writers Abandon Books and How You Can Draft, Fix and Finish With Confidence. Book 2 is under construction. The other is a nailed novel, My Memories of a Future Life - a contemporary reincarnation story with a twist that asks as many questions as it answers. Second novel is with my agent.
I bet that was all WAY too much info...

ps: it's not the thread title you pick the book for - that is used to discuss a single book. you don't actually have to pick a book though

Lindsay I totally love that! You forgot the study though, where all our budding authors pretend to be working hard when really they are on GR.

Lindsay, that was awesome! You should be a writer.

Lindsay, who is in the ballroom with the candlestick and the murder victim?

Andrew, the Olympic circus? It's going on a mere six miles from where I sit. A surreal time for London, but I'm happier absorbed in my books.
