Who would play Bones in a movie version?

I can't figure out who I'm picturing...all my go-to actors are probably too old...Hugh Jackman, Pierce Brosnan (not tough enough), Daniel Craig? As I recall Bones is in his late 20s or early 30s.

The obvious choice would be James Marsters, but I doubt he would play a vampire again.
I don't think I would want this series made into a movie.. they would ruin it :/

Well you know how there is little things in a book that you would tweak if you could. Well movie producers do that, they tweak the book plot to make the movie the way they want it. It's annoying..
I would say Hugh Jackman, Channing Tatum.That is who I would think.
Channing Tatum wouldn't be bad. Maybe they could get like a new English actor.
Ian Sommerhalder...he plays a hunky damon on TVD..or maybe..Robert Buckley.. he has the rougish charm to his smile ...or if someone older then maybe Simon Baker of the mentalist..ugh...i wouldnt envy the person casting this role.. so many choices!...lol

I think a british newcomer would be more believable.American actors aren't great with british accents.
Exactly my point. I was watching a movie and the actors accent went from English to French and then had a German twang. I was like "WTF??"
I always seem to picture Spike( James Marsters) as Bones whenever I"m reading the books.... I think he'd do a good job with it....he's got the deep enough voice for it I think...voice that makes ya melt ... yes I'm a HUGE lover of James Marsters :D
i always picture DAVID BECKHAM when i am reading it...i was like yay spike fix is back but bones is way hotter than spike, in my mind he is Becks...but he would never be an actor since he is so pretty and athletically talented

Exactly!!! Bones and Spike just go hand in hand...They are one and the same to me...You say the name Bones I instantly think Spike/James Marsters.... That man is just TOO yummy for words :D

Definately James Marsters - What a great movie this would be
marsters is kind of old at this point, i know he had the billy idol hottness...and dont get me wrong i was die hard buffy fan i read the fanfic and everything for years, i was in middle school when it came out so i was really into it. he was hot in a bad boy way yes, physically yes, and in the punk way.But lets be real BONES is like a greek god/ abercrombie model/ badass Leonitas spartan warrior as well, so james marsters just doesnt really fit that role. he was perfect for spike byt other than the bleached hair, leather coat, and british accent it really ends there. the two characters are very different spike was a schemer not a beautiful warrior. just saying

you know what Buffy good suggestion he is pretty steamy as well...i always thought so in the movie and he is an actor so that would be more pratical, if anyone ever made a movie who ever plays him it will be hard to capture all the sexiness of Bones but ik would love to see them try!!!

ALso, we have to take into account Bones' age too. Cam is 28 and could look a bit younger, but David Beckham is 36 going on 37. I'm not sure what his acting capabilities are either.
James Marsters is hott but I think Ian. Bones needs to be bigger
Whenever Bones speaks I picture Spike, but he'd be too old for the role now!
I think Chris Hemsworth would be a good choice for Bones. He's got some rockin' abs as seen in Thor.

If this guy can act, I think he'd be perfect for Bones. He's a male model named Andrew Stetson. And if you google him, his hair colour changes a lot proving he can pull off more than one color like Bones. I think the accent is irrelevant. I'd rather have a good look than the right accent. Besides, that's what a voice coach is for.

and i really dont like James Marsters as Bones... I think people automatically think of him because of the blond hair and british accent, but if you ignore those 2 features, i just dont think he looks the part. but thats just my personal opinion...
