Courtney (canadiangirlcb) | 748 comments Hi, I found a title that needs some copies combined. A few say they're some kind of reader, so there may need to be some combined to a second file or something?
When you search the Diary of Laura's Twin you get about 6 results, all for what looks to be the same book.

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/44... - is the 'main' book, with no special editions, etc.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... - another edition, no other info given.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... - MP3 - CD audio book.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... - brilliance audio unabridged
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... - same as above.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... - another MP3-CD one.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) All combined (with a few details cleaned up). The no-info edition looks like it's an alternate cover edition, but there's no way to tell what ISBN/ASIN it corresponds to.

("Reader" in this case seems to be used as "Narrator"--presumably whoever added it simply wasn't familiar with the latter term.)

Courtney (canadiangirlcb) | 748 comments Found more I'm afraid. Search term - "The Secret Countess".

Combine 1: "Secret Amours of the Bourbons: From the Marriage of Marie Antoinette to the Fall of Charles X (1831)"

Amara Tanith (aftanith) Combined all the first ones, but the author's name is malformed ("Countess Of Countess Of C..."). Do you know what it should be?

Working on the other two. All done. :)

Courtney (canadiangirlcb) | 748 comments I tried checking google, but just got results for those books. I'm thinking from some of the results that it's kind of an 'Anonymous' thing, where they didn't want to put their real name? In one poem that came up, it was about "the death of the Countess of C____". You could probably get rid of the first "countess of" in the author name, but I don't know what "C" refers to, unfortunately.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Worldcat note has the author on the book as by "the Countess of C***". Checking LoC.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) In the meantime, I've changed it to "Countess Of C..." (getting rid of the first "Countess of", as per message 6).

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments OK the Countess of C was actually Horace Raisson (1798-1854), according to the Library of Congress. Yes, it's a bloke not a woman author... :)

Also author of a couple of other titles so possibly best to have a See Also under the Countess of C (or Comtesse du C)?

Histoire de Napoléon et de la Grande Armée, 1830: as M. Horace Raisson or H. Raisson
The law of love, 1849: as Horace Raison
Code galant, 1922: as Horace-Napoléon Raisson
Code civil, 1828: as Auteur du Code gourmand
Amours secrètes des Bourbons, 1830: as Mme la comtesse du C*** OR Countess of C***

It's common usage on some publisher sites, and therefore it shows up sometimes in imports.

Courtney (canadiangirlcb) | 748 comments Found some more. :)

I typed in Garde Manger (I was looking for the one by Chuck Hughes) and it has multiple copies that should be combined.

It looks like there's two copies of another book with a similar (same?) title by the culinary institute of America.
