Merging two editions

Those two Kindle editions are already combined but are the same. Is it still possible to merge them into one?

When you look up "In the Land of the Big Red Apple" by Roger LEa MacBride, there are two listings for it.

The 2nd link says there are no other editions, so they probably need to be merged. (sorry if I'm worng - I'm still trying to figure out how this site works! ^_^)

Re 4 & 5:

Merge actually means to delete a duplicate; what you want is a combine, not a merge. ;) Anyway, there was a duplicate author profile that needed merging (which I took care of) and a few uncombined works (which I and another librarian--probably Lena--took care of).

Melody we don't replace covers. As such that edition is perfectly acceptable.

I changed the cover a few minutes ago because it didn't match the Kindle edition ASIN.

Again, we don't replace covers unless we can positively, 100% without a doubt verify that the ASIN was never released with that particular cover, which does not seem to be the case here.

No. One is the alternate cover edition, created to reflect the new cover.
