Ah, I think she's precisely the sort of girl Austen would dream up--sassy, smart, misguided in her initial attraction to the wrong guy. :)

I actually really liked Caroline--I liked her sass and dismissal of Davy's gripes. She's lively and a bit cocky and exactly the sort of woman stuffy old Davey needs.
