there is the james potter series by g. norman lippert, which is a bit what you wrote. it features harry potter's kids, but also the american wizarding world and merlin and the founders of hogwarts.

As much as I LOVE the Harry Potter and the whole universe I don't really think there should be more books. I am too scared it would somehow ruin what we already have. I know it doesn't affect the story already made but I just think it would fail.
Then again, JK Rowling is a mastermind and I would love to read whatever she would want to write.
If, indeed, she should decide to make some sort of story after the second big wizarding war on Hogwarts, I also think that the story of Scorpius holds more potential than Albus Severus's story.
