I'll second those and add The Wrath of Angels.
I'm looking forward to all of those as well as Joe Hill's NOS4A2. (Whoohoo).
Also the forthcoming Stephen King book about the killer in the amusement park. The title escapes me right now.

Oooh, that one looks good, Ryan! Thanks!
Tressa, I can't wait either! I hope that we won't be let down.

Charlene, I'm sure we won't be let down. Maybe it won't be as magnificent as Horns, but I'm sure it will be compelling.
Tressa, I'm sure you're right.
How often does it happen, I wonder, where a bestselling author has children and their children are also bestselling authors?

Rarely.
Fans set the bar too high.
For example, the most frequent comment made to country singer Hank Williams, Jr. is "You're okay, but you'll never be as good as your daddy."

Joyland.
I didn't know Joe Hill had another coming out, finally got Heart-Shaped Box on order and will read soon.

Julian Hawthorne wrote quite a bit but never got the respect that his dad Nathaniel did. That having been said, I quite liked his story "Absolute Evil" in American Fantastic Tales:Terror and the Uncanny from Poe to the Pulps - not the first thing I'd read by him but the one I enjoyed the most.
Tressa wrote: "The Five, Todd?"No. The one he is working on and mentioned in a couple interviews. He is writing contemporary novels between the Corbett series. As of yet, no title or release date.

Although he only wrote one book I know of, Kurt Vonnegut's son wrote a terrific novel.

Richard Christian Matheson, son of Richard Matheson, wrote a novel and some short stories.

Oh, I see that Five is a 2011 book. I don't even remember this book coming out in 2011, so I thought it was brand spanking new. Sorry.

I second that, Marc, especially the King sequel!

Yeah, I'd heard about the new forthcoming Hill novel...obviously, something to do with vampires...anyone know more about the plot?

Looks great, thanks for the tip, Gator, but now I've discovered the 10 previous books in the series that I have to read first! Yikes! Oh, well, by the time I get to it, I should be able to find one cheap!

WOW King just keeps getting worse and worse as he gets old. I want the young SK back!!
Just a simple request..... I've tried reading Herbert ("The Fog") and just couldn't enjoy his writing. As I've read so much praise for Mr. Herbert, I'm wondering what I might be missing.
Any suggestions as to how I might kick-start an interest in Mr. herbert's work?
I got my copy of The Twelve! It is so hard to refrain from reading as I have a lot of packing and schoolwork. But after the move I am breaking that sucker open!

I loved The Ghosts of Sleath. The Secrets of Crickley Hall was pretty good.
Still have my original copy, Chris.
