I need 3 books, added to a series

I've added three new books, parts of a trilogy, but don't have permissions to designate the series, each of them is a part of.

Series name (needs to be created): 'Сливенската трилогия'

Сливенската трилогия #1: Тътени
Сливенската трилогия #2: Бурята
Сливенската трилогия #3: И стана ден

Hi Beth,

There's something that bothers me regarding this series: Opening the book page of any of the three entries above, I can see the series name, but when I see the books in a list of books (search results, bookshelves, etc.), the series name is not shown.

I noticed this behaviour yesterday, but imagined it might be a matter of database replication or caching issues and waited until today to check it up again.

Unfortunately, the situation has not changed almost 24 hours later, so I figure it's not a caching issue.

That's a known issue, actually; the series isn't displayed everywhere it should be yet. The workaround is to add the series to the title as well, which I've done now. (We don't generally do this unless someone asks for it since we're still hoping that the series display will be extended soon and make it redundant everywhere, but it is the standard full display method for now.)

But, I'm curious, when you add the series name to the book's title, how comes when I open the book page, only the series name is a link to the series page, and the actual title - not?

It's part of what they did to make this workaround good enough to hold us until the series is more fully integrated: when a book is in a series and its title ends with a parenthetical, the title is displayed on the book page without the parenthetical and then the series text is shown in parentheses as a link to the series.

In this case, it goes like this--
Title: Тътени (Сливенската трилогия #1)
Series: Сливенската трилогия #1
Display on book page: [title: Тътени [hidden part of the title: (Сливенската трилогия #1)]] [link to series: (Сливенската трилогия #1)]
