AUGUST ~ The Name of the Wind

I've just finished The Name of the Wind and am happy to say it was one of my favorite books ever.
This is the first book in a trilogy and tells the story of Kvothe's ( in his own words! ) early life through to his training at the university ( which is some sort of magic school ).
Kvothe is a great character!. He is a kind, intelligent and witty guy but he's not perfect, he can be very reckless!. Kvothe's life is not always easy but it is always exciting.
I won't spoil too much but I absolutely loved Patrick Rothfuss's take on dragons, the book is worth reading for that alone.
This book was so enthralling that I could barely put it down and managed to listen to 27 hours of audio in just ten days!.
For those fans of epic fantasy this was as good as the likes of A Game of Thrones, The Way of Kings and The Lies of Locke Lamora all of which are favorites of mine.
Anyone even remotely interested in this should definitely read it!
