I'm new to this group and, once you get to know me, you will soon come to learn, I do a lot of things on a whim!

Over the past few days I've been researching the topic of diversity in Young Adult fiction. Yesterday, I had a conversation with another group member about the possibility of creating a blog/network that connects authors who write paranormal, fantasy and sci-fi with Main Characters of Color (MCoC) with readers who are demanding more diversity in the books they purchase.

Basically we'll be doing author spotlights, review and feature these books, encourage healthy debates about the state of diversity in the publishing world, and prove there is a need and that it can be met.

If you think you might be interested in blogging on this topic please let me know! This is a conversation that is scattered all over the internet and I thought it would be a great idea to focus on the issue in one place.

The blog (Diversepages.blogspot.com) is already set up, but not live. Just looking for more contributors who are as passionate about this issue as I am. You can blog once a month (or more if you want!) on a specific topic. You could also do reviews, if you have the time. If you're interested let me know!

This is a great opportunity to get exposure if you're an author (like me) or to be heard if you're a reader (also like me!) who wants to see yourself in the pages. We're looking for about 3-5 regular bloggers and 5-10 reviewers. So pass the word on!

You don't have to be a person of color, you just have to want to see them in the pages!
