No he didn't. ;) I already know about the power there. It's same as here, maybe a different plug but I've been told our flat has both azer and UK style outlets. I've bought adapters as well, just in case.
The flat is meant to be very modern, JS. The phone worked in Nigeria.
I'm wondering if the phone signal would be the same?
AHA. Now I feel victorious over smug bastard. he uses the site for all his travels apparently. seems like a pretty decent site all the same even if it wasn't handy for this.

Ye I figured that out when I actually bothered to look properly, lol. it's fixed now :)

Remember you're talking to a total non-geek here! ;)
Lol it's like 3G but.. better. And yep it does,
'On 20 May 2012, Azerbaijan's biggest mobile operator Azercell launched 4G [LTE].[62]'
UK hasn't quite got it yet. Some big balloo over the new iPad because they advertised it as 4G in Oz and it doesn't have it yet either so they had to give a pile of refunds.
Yep, cordless landline. The company provides the phone line and I'm sure there's already a phone in the flat. I just really dislike not being able to wander while I gab.

Oh cool. Is my new shiny 4G as well as 3G, I wonder?
If it is a modern flat, then it will probably have an RJ11 connector, which is the small connector which most of the world uses as standard and which is probably what you were using in Nigeria.
On my travels I found out Azerbaijan has it's own google and that there is one huge ass mofo of a yellow pages for the surrounding areas - http://www.yellow-pages.kz/az/en/

You won't want to speak to us poor unfortunates back here then :((
Geoff (G. Robbins) (The noisy passionfruit) wrote: "Well Peanut, I now feel superfluous. I defer to your geekdom."Me too Geoff but they haven't told Patti about the problems with reverse feedback polarity and I think we should let her find out for herself now.

Does anyone know if a UK cordless phone will work in Azerbaijan?
I don't want to use precious suitcase space for it if it won't.
Thanks, groupites!
