Issue with Publication Date

Stripped out all the incorrect edition dates. Left the future work date, and added some notes that should prevent anyone setting it back to 2013. (Which I totally get is irritating to an author who is probably getting flak without any help.)
I was looking at my TBR shelf and notices a strange date (2025) show up for The Doors of Stone. It looks like the author was getting frustrated with false promises of a publication date and bumped it up.
I looked through the editions and saw that there were four audio book editions ( one two three four) with publication dates in the past for a not yet released book.
I was wondering what the correct procedure is here. My gut is to remove the dates, since what is there is wrong and there isn't a solid date yet that I am aware of for expected publication.
I am wondering if this could be why the author is frustrated with a changing original publication date sort of issue (where it automatically updates to the earliest date with no human intervention).
I'm also not sure what to do, if anything, with all the audio editions.
Thanks for the guidance :)
