Well, you are thrown right into the middle of the war and it starts with a very brutal scene but I had no problem getting into it because the writing is great.

I finished the second SF book and loved it!

Well, I'm a really slow reader. At least I feel like one when I see how many books others read. I read maybe 1-1.5 books a week depending on its length.

That makes me feel better because I'm about a book a week too. Some of my friends will be done with a book in one day! I only do that if I get hooked in and stay up until 5am reading when I should be sleeping.

I didn't like Bitten when I read it, either Krissy. I loved book 2, though. I've loved the other books in the series a lot as well.

You're welcome. Bitten is hard to get through. It's not terribly exciting and Elena isn't that likable in it. She's better in book 2 and much better in the other books she's featured in.

Mello I'm glad I'm not the only one that will read the first couple of books in a series to give it a chance to get better. But by the third or fourth book if it's still not good I give up. I got the first 3 books from the used book store so I will b definitely giving it a chance.

Awesome. Book 3 has a different character as the heroine, but it's related to events of book 2. I liked it a lot.
