Hi, I don't know if there is already a topic about this, but what are Free Fridays & how can I find out more information on it? Thanks :)

Emily,Every Friday B&N offers a Free Book which is available for downloading on your Nook, from the website, nook on your PC and probably other devices. You must have a email address, and a credit card registered in order to download. It is considered a purchase but all zeros show in the total column. I have purchased many FREE FRIDAY offerings just follow the prompts on your Nook. I have the original Nook. Hope this helps.

There is a app called Buddy Books that you can download to your nook. It's free. I gives you a bunch of free epubs of famous authors and not so famous authors. It also gives you great buys and great deals. I check it at least once a day for new downloads. The only thing is that when you see the free book you should pick it up then and there because they keep changing..My question is. I have the old nook, is it possible to get the app on my nook?

Thank you!!!
How does everyone feel about the choices in Free Friday books offered? Personally, I think that a good freebie is hard to find.
It depends on what you're looking for. You have to really search for certain genres. I have almost given up on the Free Fridays because I am sick to death of romances, whether they're with humans or vampires or whatever.
I're read some great books from the Free Friday selection and have gone on to buy more from the authors. You have to check every week to see if anything catches your interest. Even if you're just mildly interested you might as well get it since it's free. What do you have to lose?

I used to be and got away from them because they all started to sound the same; however, if one comes along on Free Fridays that sounds interesting, I download it.
Always remember to read through the comments on the Free Friday Nook blog posts. There is another person (B&N employee?) named 'Spec' who posts a dozen or so links to other free Nook books in addition to the one chosen as the 'Free Friday' selection. Even if I hadn't had any interest in the 'Free Friday' selection, I've often found one or two other titles in the comments that I did and downloaded.

I buy most of the free friday books because they are free. And my Mom loves it too, then I don't charge her money on her credit card :) Plus its FREEE!

Thanks Josephine. I will check it out.
Interesting. I'm really out of the loop, because I knew nothing about free Friday. Good to know. Thanks.
Here's a good site: http://www.bookbub.com/home/. It will send you emails about discounted and free books and where to buy them.
I just signed up for bookbub. I will have to see with time how it is. Hopefully I will find some good books. Thanks!
One of the perks of Barnes and Noble is the free Fridays. Some are interesting to me and other are not. I just found the BookBub and have found some really good books there. I have shared the site with lots of my friends. :)
Go to the Bookbub page too. I finally bookmarked it so I could get back to it. I check the sight every day. Books buddy is only for Color and Tablet. Darn.
If you don't remember the Free Friday site, just type Free Friday in the search.
if you have the Nook tablet (I have the most recent Tablet out, not the HD :( unfortunately) if you go to the "Shop" button on your menu it should automatically take you to the Nook Store and then just pick "picked Just For You" button under the "Popular Lists" section on on Fridays the Free Friday book will be there.
Signed up with book bubs on 24th and had two emails from them that led me to several great books so far, thanks for the info Nina. Also thanks to Lilah, I have a Nook HD as well as a Kindle Fire, so now they will both gain weight :)

how are you liking your kindle? i have soo many books on my Android Kindle app that I'm thinking about hinting about getting one for my bday this year... I've found soo many books on kindle that are free vs. nook. My poor little smartphone is filling up with all these books, first it was my home with all my books, now its my nook and my phone lol .... I may have a problem ... Is there such thing as a book addict? lol

I agree with this statement. If I'm going to be addicted to anything (and I am), I'd say books is not a bad way to go.
