Steph is: Pageturning578 (stephw1991) I just got home from seeing City of Bones and I actually really enjoyed it except for the whole brother / sister thing. For whatever reason it doesn't seem to rub that many people the wrong way. But anyway I think I'm going to give this series another chance.

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare or Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare

Honestly when I first read that part in the first book I got so upset I threw it and refused to read the rest of the series. I picked up a couple years later, gave it a chance, and it definitely did improve. :)

Okay, I saw City of Bones yesterday, and I loved it! NOt the best movie I've ever seen, but very enjoyable. I did a movie review, I will post the video later, but basically I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Better than Twilight, not quite as good as Harry Potter or The Hunger Games. My oldest daughter saw the movie with me and she has not read the books, and she wasn't too confused or anything, and she really liked the movie, too! She thought it was a good story with good characters. (view spoiler)

If you haven't read the books, you won't want to watch my review, there are spoilers!

I'd say it could go in both sections, like I've seen with some of the Harry Potter and Percy Jackson books :)
