chucklesthescot I'm reading Branded (Sinners, #1) by Abi Ketner for read and review and this is a pretty amazing story so far. I've never read a dystopian novel with such a grim and hellish world! It's very well written.

I am actually liking The Ocean at the End of the Lane so you could try it -- do you listen to audiobooks?? Just be warned his books are weird and kind of scary but not too scary :)

I finished reading The Testing (The Testing, #1) by Joelle Charbonneau late last night, and I loved it! It was a good dystopian--kind of a twisted version of the Hunger Games idea, but the MC and other characters were great, and the government is truly evil. Very quick read as well.

Next up is Fyre (Septimus Heap, #7) by Angie Sage

If you like Lizzy Ford, you won't be disappointed by this. Personally I consider this to be an adult book, but that doesn't even hit until like the last 1/4 :)

My giant summer reading stack is already dwindling, I know I will finish it before the end of August now, which means I'm treating myself to a few re-reads of some of my favorites =)

OHMYGOSH!! I'm listening to the audio as a reread. I'm at 80% or so. I jumped in the tub last night and turned it on, and just sat and soaked and sobbed!! This is the BEST book ever, BETTER on audio, and even better the second time around even knowing what's going to happen. It hurts MORE in the sad parts!! I cried before, during, after... And I'm sure when I turn it on, I'll start crying again.

I felt the same way about Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis . It didn't really impress me. But I decided to give the two sequels a chance, and boy oh boy was I ever glad I did! A Million Suns (Across the Universe, #2) by Beth Revis and Shades of Earth (Across the Universe, #3) by Beth Revis were just amazing! You should give them a shot Tracy. You might be surprised.
