Zoe Cannon (zoecannon) I'm reading Glitch (Glitch, #1) by Heather Anastasiu , and so far it's... enh. Not bad, but not great, and it has a bad case of the insta-love. After seeing the intriguing premise, I expected more. But maybe it's just slow to get going. I went and looked at a few of the Goodreads reviews just now though, and it doesn't look promising :/

DeAnna (dee84812) | 671 comments I've been a total HP kick lately, but rather than start the series again (which I will be doing soon), I'm currently reading The Hogwarts Saga as Ring Composition and Ring Cycle. It's actually pretty interesting. Well, some parts are super boring, but overall, it's pretty interesting. lol

I love Glitch! I just finished Override. I don't get why there are so many poor reviews. :(

I feel like it takes forever for me to finish a book lately. I'm so used to blowing through them in less than a day! But I am loving The Testing (The Testing, #1) by Joelle Charbonneau , it is a really good dystopian, and the MC is amazing! It really is a quick read, but I've just been busy. I'm 67% of the way in, hope I continue to love it! As far as I can tell, this one deserves the hype! Much better than the 5th Wave, or maybe its just because I love the MC a LOT more!

It's definitely a slower paced dystopian. I loved them though.

Nope, I loved it! It is slower paced, and more romance is highlighted than the dystopian element, until the end. The next 2 books in the series are almost constant action, though, and they moved really fast!

Yeah a bit slow for a dystopian but faster than Matched. The series definitely speeds up along the way though :)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments My girls insisted that I read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, even though I wasn't planning on it. So since we're trapped in a car for a 10-hr drive, they decided to read it to me. BEST AUDIOBOOK EVER. Live with all the voices.

message 3934: by Jenny, Always smiling! :-D (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 12932 comments Mod
I will have to listen to it sometime, then, Jen! I LOVE HP, and I've never tried audio on it before! Prisoner of Azkaban was the turn around point for me in the series, when things start really coming together and you can see how much is at play.

message 3935: by Jen (new)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments Unfortunately Jenny your audio version won't be nearly as good as mine - since mine is the live voices of my children (who apparently should look into employment as voice actors!). I suppose I have a biased opinion, though. Lol

Gaiman in general or this particular book? In general I like him -his stories are very creepy-- he is like the Stephen King for the YA set. I like The Ocean at the End of the Lane a lot - I am nearly done and have enjoyed it so far. Gaiman narrates most of his books himself (he narrates The Ocean) and he is a wonderful narrator (which is rare)
