Bethany | 171 comments reading Arclight (Arclight, #1) by Josin L. McQuein and liking it a lot so far. I've been in a terrible dry spell and can't decide if i'm just being too picky or if there's way too much crap being published these days...I'm going with the second option. Whatever the reason I've had a really hard time finding books that hold my interest. And so far Arclight is doing a dang good job!

Way too much crap IMO! That is why I now generally only read books that several of my trusted GR friends have loved or liked.

How are they reading the Noise in the audiobook? I'm totally checking the Chaos walking audiobooks out from my library! It's about time I did a reread of my favorite series.

I'm reading Partials right now, and it's really good so far!

I read it a year ago. I did buy the second book to read. I do remember liking it but being confused over who was who, but it all comes together at some point. I gave it a 4 which means I liked it enough to read the sequel. :)

For some reason, I thought you had listened to the Chaos books on audio.

The audio gives a sample of what the "noise" sounds like when it's everyone together... Yikes!!

message 3823: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 2372 comments Nope Karen. The series actually wasn't released on audiobook until the 3rd book was released in print so since I had read the first two I just read the third one. I know my library Overdrive has the audiobooks so I will check them out :)

They only have the WMA version and I don't have overdrive on my computer. I used to but then my computer crashed and the only way to get it back up was for my nephew to redo the whole thing and I lost everything.

Or maybe I'm just biased because I'm such a huge King fan. ;-) I'm just on chapter 8 of Wizard'sFR but I'm already excited on what would happen!! I think I'll get hold of the rest of the series once I'm done with this one.

DeAnna (dee84812) | 671 comments I just finished Ghost Time by Courtney Eldridge , and I'm so disappointed, I don't even know what to say! Next up is The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey . I really hope it's good because I can't take anymore mediocre books. Oh yeah, and it's 450+ pages, and I have to have it back to the library in 5 days!

message 3849: by DeAnna (new)

DeAnna (dee84812) | 671 comments Good to know. I've heard great things about it, but I'm not typically a sci-fi fan, so who knows?

In slightly better news, I googled the author of Ghost Time, and it's supposed to be a trilogy. Makes the ending a little more tolerable, but still, just frustrated.
