I wasn't impressed at all. It was the first book in a long time that I considered DNF'ing. I gave it 2 stars only because there was a small section (maybe 10%) near the end that I thought was pretty good, but overall, I didn't really like it.

Bethany | 171 comments So I'm reading Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X, #1) by Richelle Mead and this is the first adult series that I've read from Richelle Mead. I'm really liking it. It's very interesting and seems like it's going to have a big, crazy, twisting plot. Really good so far. And the male lead totally reminds me of Adrian Ivashkov. So, I'm really loving him :)

That was my first book from Netgalley! Unfortunately, I went a little crazy with the requests, so I have a bunch to read before I can read that one! Hope it's good!

Oh DeAnna, I'm glad to hear that because I am not real excited about My Soul to Take. I am not really liking Kaylee, very immature at times. I do however like the story line so if the other one's are better maybe I should continue.

message 2566: by Maggielou (new)

Maggielou (maggielou618) | 95 comments This weekend I decided to read Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas and I loved it so i read all the the novella's, which only made me love Maas even more. Cant wait to read Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2) by Sarah J. Maas .
Still trying to get through A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin but that ones going to take me a while. I'm only like 4% in and I'm having trouble going on! UGH I really hate when that happens. So i'm going to take a step away from that book and read Dark Protector (Paladins of Darkness, #1) by Alexis Morgan .

She is kind of immature, but she grows with the series. I actually reviewed books 2-7 on my blog, along with the novellas and short stories. I wasn't hugely impressed with My Soul to Take which is why it took me several months before picking up My Soul to Save, but they definitely got better. My Soul to Keep was pretty good, and My Soul to Keep and If I Die were my favorites of the series!

What did you think of Clockwork Angel?

message 2579: by Jen (new)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments Nancy wrote: What did you think of Clockwork Angel?

Not my genre and not great narration. The story was good if you like that sort of thing, though, and the writing was very clever. There was a twist near the end that was unexpected. I wasn't in love with the characters, and just when I was starting to like Will, he turned into a complete jerk! I will probably give the sequels a listen, though, because the narrators on the audio are different and from the samples sound much better.

Have you read it? What did you think?

Currently reading Princess of the Silver Woods (Princess, #3) by Jessica Day George which doesn't have me hooked, and rereading Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare

I had remembered loving Hush, Hush, but I just did a reread of it and it really annoyed me! lol So did Crescendo as a reread, but the last 2 were really good, so go figure! I agree its not the best angel series out there! Embrace (The Violet Eden Chapters, #1) by Jessica Shirvington series and Illuminate (Gilded Wings, #1) by Aimee Agresti are much better!

OK, that sounds good! I'd like to read it with other people! We basically pick a start date and make a thread and whoever wants to read it just joins in and we can discuss the book as we go. It's very laid back and we just use spoiler tags and read at our own rate. :) Currently, we are doing a buddy read for Gone.

message 2600: by Meaghan (new)

Meaghan | 383 comments I may need some time before I can read it. I'm working on the Gone buddy read right now and then I think they were talking about starting a Prodigy buddy read this weekend or early next week.

I may be able to start it in about a week if anyone wants to do it then? That'll give me time to finish Gone, Prodigy, and probably do one of my review books before that one (or a Hunger buddy read, however it works out)! :)
