message 2506: by Jen (new)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments I'm still working through Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer -- which, by the way, is an audio book best listened to while doing something other than sleeping. It has a lot of adventure and the voices can be lively (and irritating if it's the computer voice).

I've also gone back to Jackson Hole a time or two to listen to excerpts of Unearthly (Unearthly, #1) by Cynthia Hand and Boundless (Unearthly, #3) by Cynthia Hand . I cannot believe how good those books are. I want to live there and be 17 again. : )

message 2517: by Bethany (new)

Bethany | 171 comments Got approved for Gameboard of the Gods (Age of X, #1) by Richelle Mead on Netgalley. I've been going through Richelle Mead withdrawals so bad that I went back and re-read the entire VA series two weeks ago. Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked to get my hands on this early. Can't wait to get into it!

message 2518: by Bethany (new)

Bethany | 171 comments Oh man, I feel so dumb. I requested this from Netgalley back in January. And I can't remember when exactly I got approved...but it's been weeks. I just realized what I had and now I'm freaking out because I've had the sequel to Pushing the Limits in my Netgalley account for WEEKS and I didn't know. So, yes, I will be starting this also Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2) by Katie McGarry It's Beth story...YAY!

DeAnna (dee84812) | 671 comments Just finished Reboot (Reboot, #1) by Amy Tintera , and it was really good! It took a bit to get into it, and it wasn't quite what I was expecting, but right from the halfway point until the end, I thought it was really exciting!

I want to post my review for The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden, #2) by Julie Kagawa on 4/22, so I think The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden, #1) by Julie Kagawa will be my next read. Hopfeully I can read both of these books before we start the buddy read of Gone (Gone, #1) by Michael Grant

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

I was going to start Prodigy (Legend, #2) by Marie Lu today but don't want to have to rush through or not finish before the buddy read so I'll read it after! :)

I think my next reading book is going to be The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden, #1) by Julie Kagawa but I need help picking my next audio. Should I listen to
Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1) by Kami Garcia or The Iron King (The Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa ?

I would choose 1 or 2 in my opinion (only cos there the 2 I know of lol) x

message 2539: by DeAnna (new)

DeAnna (dee84812) | 671 comments I decided on Cinder. I'm starting 2 more new (to me) authors today, so if I can get Cinder done this month, that'll help toward the April challenge!

message 2540: by Mara (new)

Mara (maraanne) Oh, I hope you enjoy Cinder! By the way, how did you end up liking The Madman's Daughter?

message 2541: by DeAnna (new)

DeAnna (dee84812) | 671 comments I didn't love it. I'm trying to decide whether I think it was okay or if I liked it. I'm still not even sure how I felt about it! lol For now, all I can say is I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I'm leaning towards 3 stars (liked it)

message 2542: by Mara (new)

Mara (maraanne) I gave it two - it was ok. I liked the twist with the monster, but that was about it.

message 2543: by DeAnna (new)

DeAnna (dee84812) | 671 comments I thought it was pretty good, but I felt that it didn't need to be as long as it was. There was more info in it than I felt like it needed. Maybe I'll give it 2.5! lol

Yeah, it was definitely very high school drama-filled. I thought the demon parts were confusing.

That's a tough question. IMO, the series was fine as a trilogy. The fourth book seriously worried me because I just didn't think it matched the caliber of the first three, but then I loved book five and it redeemed it for me. I'm really excited for the last book. I also prefer The Mortal Instruments to The Infernal Devices, but I only read the first ID book. SO, hopefully that helps you decide.
