I keep my Nook away from the tub as well, Karen, I just know I'd drop it and that would be AWFUL!!! Just my own books in the tub, but nothing hardcover or new! Used paperbacks mostly!

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments OK, finished Forbidden (The Books of Mortals, #1) by Ted Dekker and Tempest (Tempest, #1) by Julie Cross . I'm waiting on Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins , which is on hold at my library. I've started All These Things I've Done (Birthright, #1) by Gabrielle Zevin and Thomas Jefferson The Art of Power by Jon Meacham . Then I'm hoping to get to Unraveling (Unraveling, #1) by Elizabeth Norris by Monday. The two for the weekend should get me through painting the frames of the kitchen cabinets and some doors (it's oil-based paint, so it dries slowly) :)

I did like Tempest, although I had some problems with it. I reviewed it. I am interested for Vortex (Tempest, #2) by Julie Cross , since it will likely answer a lot of the loose ends that Tempest left. What did you think?

Yeah, well, be afraid. Be very afraid.

Seriously, though, if you go into expecting that it will go a different direction from the way we've all been set up, you might actually enjoy it. It's ok to wrap up the series - but it is chock full of angst and indecision and PEOPLE. NOT. COMMUNICATING. And talking themselves into things they don't really want! Very frustrating on that level IF what you expect is a continuation of the first book. It is much more realistic in terms of Lena's growth.

There you go. Now read it and tell us all we're out of our minds.
